I'm loving this prototype. Let's hope they tidy up the details and listen to feedback.

I think I agree about the outfit - there's not a lot they can do with the fabric that's available and cost, but I'm sure they'll improve it none-the-less.

Done right, rooted hair looks SOOOOOOO much better.

But, I understand why lots of you guys are sketchy about it.

I think both have their merits but here is how I look at it! Would I ever want my black widow hot toys with sculpted hair! No/ my Selina Kyle - no / Probably never! So both school of thoughts have merits but I personally don't think star ace or aci can pull that off! They are struggling in basic accuracy department in body, fabric etc / No disrespect to anyone here but this is how I look at it! If ht was doing this figure I would say seamless (300) .!!! , sculpted!!! Words like these!
But here I am willing to settle for less! That's what it will probably boil down to! Sorry again as I don't mean to be mean by comparing but both star ace and aci have to first wow us. They are far from that now!

In fact I will be the first one to scream praises If they wow us with these releases! At this stage we are "more" excited about these licenses being done / redone (300) /

the wow factor from their figures is a long way to go!!!

Star Ace is all about testing different looks and different materials including different versions using either rooted or sculpted hair - but for Selene rooted wasn't considered.
I'm a huge fan of rooted hair - I don't think Hermione would look nearly as authentic with sculpted. But in this case I agree that sculpted is the way to go for Selene.

Agreed wholeheartedly. It's good to see Star Ace is exausting all options in order to give us the best possible figures.

i would like a figure to compare with my custom..
rooted hair and especially leather boots not moulded plastic boots
and i think the suit has to be more brillant.. not opaque...

Wow this looks really good! I think if this had the star ace likeness and base then rest of the stuff looks way way better! Not that the likeness is bad / this is also quite decent!
I think I will try to pick a star ace head sculpt extra from aftermarket when released and ask a customizer to do rooted hair option as well! Looking very good there! Assuming the outfit is made something close to this shiny material. Else right now they are just slack material and that's looking wrong!

That's a beautiful custom. The outfit is fantastic and I love the sculpt and hair.

I wouldn't worry about what Star Ace would do or not do if I had that. I would look at the SA one only as an opportunity to get a second Selene if I really loved the character, and that's it.

nice custom, but the hair is wrong. hers doesn't look like that.

sculpted is the only way to capture the messy unpolished look her hair has.

and as much as i want a shiny outfit, and as good as it looks on the custom, that sort of material will just fall apart after a while.

^^ u mean gap in the custom above or the actual SA figure. The actual SA figure is on a "static" body and that body will be changed.

on my custom there is any gap in the neck area.. maybe is a pic's effect..
