this guy's hair is suffers similarly to Blitzway. HT has no problem with sharp defined hair details.

Agree 100%. It is my only gripe looking at the pics of this guy and is my main gripe with the Fight Club fig as well (although that C-man guy did an amazing rehair, not sure I have the guts to do that on this figure without getting a spare head to try it on) and is also the biggest problem with Selene from Underworld but she has other problems too....

We should be seeing a massive improvement in hair, not what we are getting lately.

Remember that the hair is magnified 10 fold in those zoomed in pictures. You could make the same complaint about the eyes when compared to HT. HT really is the only one who can hold up to macro photography and retain the realism these days.

Things I'm going to do with my VTS Max as I'm aiming for movie accuracy:

-Replacing the body with a slightly more muscular body that fits Tom's body type.
-Replacing the whole outfit with Art Figures set.
-Replacing the knife with the one from Art Figures.
-Fixing the leg brace.
-Fixing the shoulder pad.
-Hunt down the shotgun from Art Figures since it's pretty rare right now.
-Maybe replacing the head with Eleven version but I still can't decide.

The unused parts might be put together for the Blood Bag (chained version) Max kitbash.

stick with the VTS vest though. It's is far more accurate than Arts one. Arts doesn't even have the medical tin, 4x handgun mags, the shotgun shells should be black, all 4 VTS rifle mags more accurate, the tubing attachment, etc.

From these pictures it seems like it's pretty dang close to the proto, maybe a little softer but it's a very very good paint app and generally a good sculpt. This looks like if Hardy played Max 7 years ago or so.

The head sculpt is exactly the same though. It was their fault for their photos to come out like that. Weird.... I bet they never looked at the figure closely and carefully until looking at their photos of the figure.
