I see it now....lol. It almost looks like he got me a hand-me-down from a friend that got a little too fat for it instead of being through the hell of the wasteland for years. It is not quite as well fitted as the proto and the cut sleeve looks a little too perfect. I have pretty much the same issues with the under shirt too.

I tried my hand at weathering and fixing paint on a sculpt before with my "Eli". I did enjoy the process but i was expecting not to have to do it on this one.

Looks nice what you did with the sculpt. The clothing that came with that figure looks nice. Definitely the opposite of the WR.

Mad Max had several different boots in the movie, the ones he used the most are the ones VTS has on the figure , which are the UnderArmor shoes

The Jacket is Leather, however it is crusty , and worn heavy in the movie

No way would i ever switch consider switching the pants and jacket from the VTS to AF , the AF looks just awful, looks like Jerry Seinfeld's suede jacket after it was exposed to the rain

Depends what you're looking for; if you want to mimic reality, then VTS's leathers are more for you. If you want to mimic the screen image, then AF's is a little more "theatrically" accurate.

Noface, I was upset cause I finally had the bvs batman from hot toys to finish paying at bbts. But when I changed the the shipping method the price went up to were it cost almost $300 I had the idea to cancel it and order it again but I soon I did. It was lost. Well I guess I have to just wait for max.

You mean it was automatically given to someone who was next in line waiting to buy the figure if an extra one came up or got cancelled? Damn, I would be pretty pissed myself if that happened to me. No luck in finding another Batman figure on different store websites? Ebay?

And the original is superior to Road Warrior.

I guess people like "Road Warrior" only because it is superior to BT.

When Road Warrior came out I was pretty young, had to see it with a friend's mom who didn't care what we saw and I was blown away. Lord Humongous, crazy Mohawk guy, the metal boomerang. They were all awesome. The interceptor, the car chases, the truck battle at the end.

I found the first Max to be quite boring, I like it better now, but as a kid, it was not visceral enough. Beyond Thunderdome is only ok up until he gets exiled, then it gets really strange and kind of annoying. I do like "Master Blaster" and the Dome battle though.

Fury Road is a great movie but took me the first half hour to get over it being a pretty much a reboot. It is very visceral but Max is kind of inept. All these shots of the figure with that rifle with the big scope and he couldn't hit crap with it, Furiosa had to grab it away from him before he used up all the ammo. I would love Immortan Joe and Furiosa figures for a nice trio display but I doubt that will happen.

I think Road Warrior is still a classic movie and Mel's Max is still No. 1 in my mind but I am looking forward to getting this guy and rewatching the film immediately after.

The hair on top could have been done better but I can live with it. His skin texture looks pretty good, eyes, while not the best in the business are totally decent, stubble is acceptable as well so all in all, looking really forward to this guy at the end of the month/early next month.

Exactly what happened I'm afraid. Ebay sells them at crazy prices. Beyond $300 and it's sold out only thing now is to hope it gets a second run like the star wars line. Which isn't far from possible.
