I expect it to be as good as it can be. The sculpt, paint, fabrics, base body and tailoring should all be top notch for these high end collectibles. If I wanted shoddy I'd buy Zazzle or Hasbro.

It costs just as much to sculpt a good likeness as it does a bad one. So don't understand the "I only paid 'x' so I'm okay Princess Leia looks like Ernest Borgnine" attitude.

I do agree ANH leia looks like :yuck

When it comes to my 1/6 scale figures I'm not anal at all. As long as someone who is not a collector sees my stuff and says "Wow, that's an amazing (lets say Luke Skywalker)" then it's a good likeness IMO. I think the real question is why do we buy this stuff in the first place.

:mwaha I agree.

i dont hate any of my 12in figures. i remember the first one i ever got. i wasnt expecting much, but when it arrived i was in awe at the detail. the headsculpt, clothing and accessories were all very accurate. i wasnt expecting that. now i only care about paint jobs. seriously why do i get one figure that looks like it was painted by a professional and the next one looks like it was painted in elementary school? i hate bad paint aps. if the headsculpt is 90% accurate. thats good enough for me. i couldn't care less what body the figure is on. i usually spend about 10 minutes trying to get a good pose and then it goes on the shelf for probably years before i ever wanna change it. the only thing i hate about bodies are loose joints but ive been pretty lucky with that so far.

I expect Hot Toys quality with all 1/6 figures I buy. That being said I do buy things that don't meet my standards on a regular basis. SSC at times comes close and dependent on what it is often times Medicom doesn't. When the figure arrives, I look at it and then my Hot Toys shelf and for every notch on the rung of the Hot Toys ladder the figure falls from I take myself out behind my house and beat the ^^^^ out of myself for that many minutes. After Yavin Luke I was in a brief coma. Redundant? Yes. Vicious Circle? Of course. If it ain't broke though.....

:D
