Agreed... Sideshow has done some great stuff with their OT aliens. I'd add the Gammorean Guard to that list as well.

Yeah, Gammy does give a good tug at the heart strings too. Greedo I thought was very nice, but not quite at the 10/10 level of Hammy.

I think it was Brinn71's redo of the Greedo head that got Greedo out of the 10/10 slot (to maybe 9.5.) It was subtle what he redid, but he nailed it (real marbles for eyes if I remember correctly.)

yep..................brinn is actually insane.............:lecture

he's a methodical meticulous butcher............:panic:

hacks up perfectly good figures & brings them to another level...........bless him.........:lol

No way!!! :monkey4 :monkey4 :lol

It's a poor effort; a raised neck, weird eyes, bad paint, crappy looking loin cloth, minimal articulation.. shall I go on?? :monkey3

Kinda pathetic - the little VC Hasbro Gamorrean figure kicks it's @$$ all over town!

That looks completely like a shrunken version of the guy in the suit. :lecture

As you see it... I disagree; figure is solid IMO and one of their better releases. Neck thing is a bit odd, but nothing that can't be lived with or very easily addressed.

The gamorreans are so easy to mod into more accurate versions if unhappy, I'm pleased with mine now more of his potential is being used - i've done minor adjustments to all 3 of the big 3 SSC alien releases (gammy, hammy and greedo) and the hardest part is breaking the 'i don't want to put paint on this expensive object' feeling, once that goes you will be tweaking everything

What was your Hammy mod?

I paint bathed his clothes so they looked worn and wrinkled, little bit of airbrush of some sand colour on them (cant see from the robe) and mostly I touched up his head so there were more highlights and lowlights similar to the prototype, its hard to tell without a before and after lol

edit: before/after (compare his face lol) Might do something similar to greedo soon

Ok.. maybe calling it a poor effort was a bit unfair. It's.. ok. :huh :lol

The Hasbro figure is definitely better though.

These are just great. I agree with Wor-Gar. I had an airbrush but nowadays can't get anything done with it in a tiny NYC apartment with a wife and dog.

You love that airbrush, Mort. I wish I had one. My life changed when I finally bought a dremel, can't imagine what would happen with an airbrush in hand.

Yep its a revolution lol, I feel like repainting things just for the hell of it now :lol

I think he is a brilliant figure...I want to give somebody money for one...I just can't find anyone that wants my money!!!! Three sellers on Ebay said no...they don't like money...

Then why are they selling them haha

Mortifactor, that robe really changes the feel of that figure. It's really great.

They just don't want to send items to Canada.

They just want more of it.

I have offered more than the listing - usually when I find I have better luck here - plus the cost of all the shipping.

A guy had both Hellboy and Abe Sapien from Hellboy 2 listed on Ebay - lower than regular price - and I was willing to pay almost $100 more. He said no. :(

I really like this figure. He was always my favorite cantina creature! If I do decide to take the plunge and buy this, it'll be my first SW 1/6 figure!

Do it, Viking Spawn! You won't regret it. Hammerhead was a favourite of mine since being a kid and they did him justice.

Canadaclone, that sucks. If I see a Hammerhead around on any of my travels, I'll let you know. Also, keep an eye out for him in the Sideshow for sale threads @ Rebelscum. Seems I see one go up every few months or so.
