2: didn't consider shipping costs! (if someone in America - or elsewhere won it, it's huge, heavy and will cost a bomb)

Although personally I'd open it up a bit to the wider board. I know that this being a subforum you are getting limited traffic. I could see this thing going like gangbusters once everyone sees it.

That was kinda my idea, get Dave to run an official forum wide auction. Post it on the home page and watch the dollars/pounds roll in.
But like I say, still haven't had a chance to talk to Dorgs - he's teaching, I'm babysitting! Let's see what occurs...

Took athe falcon into work, stuck it in the darkroom and sprayed the base coat...
still got plenty to do but chuffing eck what would I do with myself if I finished it, hummm Tie fighter! A-Wing, the chioce is massive!!

Is Mark even going to let this baby go? It's really been his masterpiece. I'm all for him keeping it if he wants to (like my opinion has anything to do with it ). So much time and effort and hell, even love, has been put into it.

LOL ah but if I get rid of it then I get to build something else LOL, besides its getting too crowded with the landspeeder, X-wing, deathstar corridor, mois eisely, the cantina booths and Palpatines throne, jedi council chair plus a few dollies in amongst it all.

Dorgs, I have an idea. Make all your stuff collapsible! Like maybe make the x-wing's x-wings removable for easy storage in a box... maybe the landspeeder could be spilt apart in the middle and the 2 halves stuck on top of one another in a more cube shaped box, etc...

And I don't care if it is for charity, you just can't get rid of the falcon! Need more space, buy a new house! or maybe build a shed on top of your roof as an extended attic... or perhaps in places of your walls where there's only drywall and insulation, you could saw a large square hole that goes all the way through to the outside of your house. Then build a sort of sticking-out box-thing and line it with insulation again and then add a layer of plywood or drywall... then your house would still be insulated and you'd have at least enough space to put the falcon!
Might devalue your house tho...
If you do get rid of it, at least sell it so you can have more $$$ for dollies and such!
