These are the types of comments I know Dave from RS said really irk him as well.

Seriously man, quit going around with this "Well Dave Said..." crap. How many times do I have to tell you to quit doing that? You know, I can speak for myself.:banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead

I meant from your post in the early part of the thread. Wasn't trying to put words in anyones mouth. Just using what was already said. :)

This one to be specific.
Post script: It frustrates the hell out of me when people say things like SSC is ripping us off and cutting corners by recycling Mace Windu's costume and boots for under Plo Koons robes. If for no other reason than the fact that there is not a single published official LFL photo showing that Plo Koon wore anything other than that. It's just an assumption that it's wrong, and further more, what SSC has done is nothing short of adding display value by giving the character a full set of Jedi gear under his screen worn robes.

you may be right.

There you have it, I've blown my top in a forum. Yipee :)

I do stand behind what I said, but you're right, it didn't need to be on the public page.

do understand though, when someone posts on multiple forums and constantly drops your name as if you are real world buddies that have debates outside of the forums and shake your head at other members it gets pretty annoying pretty fast. Especially when you have to deal with the backlash (which I had to do the other week because of the same thing)

I believe in the chat at Spooktacular one of the 3-D guys (Jared, I think?) said that Sideshow is working on improving the base bodies and we would hear about it soon. So I think if anyone wants Sideshow to improve, it is Sideshow themselves, as well. I can't picture them as a company who just rests on their laurels.

Well, welcome to the club. :lol

Sorry it wasn't meant as anything more than to prove a point. I realize that being a high profile mod on another board anything said probably gets you more flack than you need.

The Cordelia is a good case in point, the proto looked fabulous but the figure (if the relevant thread is to be believed) falls short of that idyll. Yet where else would you get a Cordelia Chase figure that looks half as good. I have the same episode DST version and it most certainly does not look anything like Cordelia.

It may not look like Cordelia or Charisma Carpenter, but I bet both the eyes are looking in the same direction. Believe the relevant thread.

I am sorry but I just don't buy into the arguement that the proto is a hand painted, hours spent, one of a kind, bla bla bla - that is a bullsh*t arguement in my opinion. Subtle differences fine, but Cordelia belongs in the Young Frankenstein line of figures as Marty Feldman's understudy with those eyes painted as off as they are.

And I hate to nitpick but now I'm cranky from reading another thread like this one, so it's it's you're all gay. And you are. :monkey5

I agree. I just recieved Cordelia and it looks off and not as good as the proto obviously.

Wow.:rotfl :rotfl :rotfl Just worked my way through this thread. I laughed. I cried. I peed myself (I'll have to do the laundry now so my wife doesn't find out I'm a pants-wetter). Awesome stuff. Freud would have a field day with all that latent homosexual talk.:D

On a serious note:

I love Sideshow and have bought many, many of their products over the years. But the paint issues are starting to get to me. My memory may be failing me but we didn't use to see things like Cordelia's eyes back in the olden days. And figures were cheaper then. Is this all growing pains? I don't know. Only time and much pain to my wallet will tell.

Of course since I mention the paint thing, I'm gay, too.:) But I'm not a gaynay, my fellow Krusaders.:D

Somewhere is a Chinese factory is a cross eyed figure painter that doesn't understand what the problem is.
