It was announced a few days ago but to those who haven't been up to date on the security battle droids, they're going to be $129.99 with one veteran version and a clean version. from what I can tell, there are no other accessories besides their blaster rifles and no base (of course). I am actually not a fan of the route sideshow went with a veteran and a clean version. I would have much rather have 2 veterans to go along side the other veteran droids they have released.

I also would have liked it if they came as a pair of either clean or veteran. One of each doesn't work for me either. I actually want a pair of clean. Might have to wait to see how big a difference there is before I buy a set.

I feel the same way even if I'm not sure if I will get these. A good opportunity for the "chop-shops" here.

Agreed, weren't they pretty much all clean in the movies anyway? The only time they saw combat was when a Jedi sliced them in half.

Movie yes. CW no and it just makes sense that they get dirty over time. There is no way they would be able to make the droids, package the droids, ship the droids, and deploy the droids with that new droid smell still intact on the battle field.....just make em dirty sideshow LOL

But security droids don't actually see the battlefield.

But security droids don't actually see the battlefield.

They were not deployed to muddy fields in the middle of nowhere ya but they did see use everywhere else like city's, space stations, ships, community's, etc were they got wear and tear. Like the ones from the movie pictured below they have wear marks and normal signs of use.

Okay I see that the movie versions had some scuffs. I hadn't remembered that.

That is exactly what they are doing. But if you want I am sure you can find a person on the forum to trade the clean/damaged droid for the one they don't want. There is bound to be someone out there looking for that deal.

Scroll down to my post before my last and I posted 2 seens they were in. One from naboo when they were escorting and the other from the hallway when they attacked the blockade fleet. There were other various scenes when they were in the background. They have also made numerous appearences in the CW series but the security and battle droids from CW dont show the wear as much as the movie versions and are a lighter color.

They're also in Ep3 a bunch when Anakin and Obiwan get onto Grievous' battleship. They get chopped up in the elevator scene if I remember right.

I'm also pretty sure they are in ep1 when obi-wan and qui-gon are on the ship in the first 10 minutes of the film.
