This is going to be my first time ordering from sideshow. When you preorder from sideshow, do the deduct they money right away, or do they give you a 40 day notice before the figure will ship out? and if i decide to cancel my order in the future for some reason, does sideshow have a cancelation fee?

Thanks

I'd love for the ROTJ version to include a bendable Sarlacc tentacle that you can wrap around him similar in construction to the snakes with Yoda.

That is a very cool idea... I'd be all over that one :rock

Most 1/6 figures do not have a cancellation fee unless you are buying more than one or they are (I think) above $250. These are all pre-orders so you will not be charged for anything until it ships and usually you'll at least get a 28 day notice before that happens.

1,200+ posts and you've never ordered from Sideshow? Whoa.

The process varies from figure to figure, but generally they charge a few days before the item ships and there's usually not a cancellation fee. All of the details are explained while you're going through the ordering process. It's all very tidy and user-friendly.

I've never ordered from them, either. I use Paypal for all my figures, etc. Which, unfortunately, I can't use with Sideshow.

This is the door to my collection room...need to get a nicer frame like yours Fury.

Awesome prints, VASith!!!

The way that Rood Fett is positioned it looks like he's gonna blow your junk off if you open the door. :lol

The light up feature sets it apart and it will be an instant classic IMO. With the Luke DX bound to have a ton of extras...this Fett with light up stand...is this where HT decides to start charging well over $200 for the Star Wars line or just certain figure in the line. Just a thought for those thinking about the wallet.

Darth Vader
Stormtroopers
She Predator Machiko
Snake Eyes

The list goes on. It is one of the main reasons I go to the con...when I do.

I know you can order AT the Con, but do they have online PPOs during the con for us that stay home? I can't remember if we ordered during the actual show or the week after.

Not so crucial with Fett as I'm not after the EX. But who knows with Grievous.

I do remember ordering the Aliens maquette in the morning, then driving down and seeing it the next day two years ago, so I would say yes.

i get your point. but your mind aside, Lucas says he looks like the guy from the prequel, and i typically defer to his judgement. on the other hand, he wouldn't even necessarily need to have Jango's face. and there's no reason he can't have Jeremy Bulloch's or Jason Wingreen's face instead. i just think a removable helmet would really set this figure apart from the other 1:6 Bobas out there. and if Jango's face really bothers you, just don't take the helmet off. win-win for everybody.
Yeah, but. . .Lucas has lost his mind in recent years. And you could leave the helmet on, but like I said before, it would bother me nonetheless. Anyway, not trying to turn this thread into another prequel bash/defense-fest, but in general, I would prefer Sideshow to release characters as they were represented and understood at the time that they were shown on the screen. No Hayden Christensen under ROTJ Vader's helmet, for instance. Actor who played Fett at the time? Fine. No head underneath? Fine. Another Django sculpt? No thanks. I figure some who enjoy the prequels might feel the same way about some of those characters. For instance, if the comic books or the cartoon decided to make changes to a character that shifted from the character as represented on the screen during the prequels.

She sounds like a keeper!

It's not just the arms though, the whole body looks unconvincingly proportioned to me, like an ill-fitting suit on a mannequin. It seems to be posed rather awkwardly, you don't get the impression of weight correctly distributed that you get say with a Truetype. He's holding the gun a little strangely too.

Obviously we need to see more pix, but the overall feel and poseability of a figure is just as important as costume and helmet accuracy, at least to me.
