Pic looks great Rook! You seem to be the first person to actually have done anything at all with the scalps too, looks a lot better.

One question about the base (I don't have IG-88)...do only the two blue lights light up or does the bottom, orange, floor piece light up too?

Just got him today and he really blows away any other Fett we've seen. Just comparing to the medicom - there's more textures, more detail and more posability.

Now I guess I should read the thread so I can learn why I'm completely wrong and he sucks.

You kill me, man. :lol It's funny because it's true ... from a certain point of view. :vader

Cheers, Billy Ray. The floor piece does light up, in fact, and it looks fantastic. Sadly, my Spartan methods of image capture would require me to handhold the camera at a shutter speed slow enough to cause image blur if I wanted to capture that particular effect on film. But to the naked eye, it's marvelous.

More pics of the vest futzed or unfutzed please. Beautiful pic. I still think the Medi looks better overall, but this could grow on me. How are the joints?

Joints are solid. Afraid I'm not as inclined to shoot pics as I used to be, so this one will have to do. I'm a bit forgiving in certain areas, I'll admit, but if the chest had been as puffed-up as earlier pics and the resultant outcry had led us to believe, I'd have pointed it out here. As ti stands, it's a great figure. Outstanding textures in the fabric they've chosen, for sure. I think it's the most believable Fett figure I've seen so far. Other releases (Read: Medicom) that I've seen left me shaking my head. This one? Not so much. :rock

Thanks. Does it feel like it's foam or can you push it in? (chest piece) Also, are the knees guard tight? In some pics it looks as if they're about to fall off.

Cool to hear about tight joints.. Thanks in advance!

I would avoid pushing, prodding, or manipulating the chest piece. First of all, I don't see the need for it. Second of all, I get the impression that, if one were to try to bend/push/prod/manipulate it, you'd run the risk of messing up the individual armor bits on the chest. I.E. you might separate them from the fabric. I don't KNOW that this would happen, but I'd hate to risk it. And why risk it when it looks this good without being touched?

Nothing in sixth scale is invulnerable to breakage. I've had horrible, horrible luck with the few Hot Toys pieces I've owned. I've broken nearly all of them while in the midst of posing them. It seems to me that Sideshow took a step to ensure that that sort of thing didn't happen with the Fett figure. And they did it in a way that works.

Yeah i'm not a big mod person so i would never eff with it to a degree some no doubt will.

I'm trying to sell myself on the figure. I still think it looks nowhere near the Medi ROTJ ver. But for ESB i like the details and i got rid of my Medi ESB so i'm thinkin pick this up to replace that.

Only thing that pisses me off is.....

Proto was so gorgeous

fett looks like fett. the whiners can continue whining if they wish but i'll be happy with this, minor imperfections and all.

With the latest picks I'm convinced I'll be happy with it

Yeah, it doesn't look like Boba stepped off the big screen, but it's still a gorgeous figure and the weathering (which let's face it, is a defining part of Boba) they nailed. The gun is just :horror good.

Any nitpick issues with this fig will, like Vader before him, be fixed for Version 2/ROTJ.

:rotfl ...bearing in mind that lofty opinion has been conjured up by an army of people who don't have the figure yet.

Congrats on getting him, Dave Can't wait to see for myself in a couple weeks....

Rook's Fett looks stunning. If Boba arrives looking like this, I'll be extremely happy. The color of the vest is much closer to a gray and not the olive/tan from the earlier eBay photo. His helmet green looks darker, too.

I did finally get my notice late last night. I'm sure Sideshow has been busy packing and shipping this week. Hopefully a great week for them and all of us!

Hey Rook! :wave

Thanks for posting! Great photo as usual.
Really looking forward to next Thursday! SDCC (not going, just the announcements) AND Fett!

Definitely glad that the reports coming from the people who have him in hand are good and the pics posted by Rook are the best yet at minimizing the sandwich-board look of the armour that are evident in Sideshow's and pretty much all the other pics I've seen. Just keep in mind that the few people still on the fence about this figure (seems to me the people that just don't like it have been successfully driven from the thread) aren't trying to wreck anyone's enjoyment of it. They just have concerns based on the only info we have at hand, which is photos -- something you'd know a lot about, given how much most of us enjoy what you post here and at RS.

Only thing I'm curious about now is if Boba's armour can be made to look natural in any kind of action pose. I agree that in a neutral, cradling-his-rifle pose, he looks pretty great (agreed on other details, too, like the weathering and cape looking really good). It's more when the torso's bent (like in pics 10/11 of Boba's Sideshow product page) that I have concerns about the armour looking natural.
