Billy, when you bent the ab plate, did you bend in the middle or just the, for lack of a better terms, tabs on the side of it?

And would a hair dryer work? Not as hot as a heat gun, yet allows more control than the hot water trick.

Try reading back a few pages. :wink1:

you are talking about this?

Actually, the ab armor is quite rounded, especially at the sides:

This is the ROTJ armor, the one on TESB have the same curve?
if it's so the best fix is to bend the ab armor with hot whater... it will make him more "movie accurate":panic:, no?

If it's an actual screen shot you need, while the forearm covers up the center, you can still see here that the plates have a light bend, just like the ROTJ armor:

Yes, they are the same. Boba Fett's ESB armor and ROTJ armor are about 80-85% the same. All of the hard parts were from identical molds, except for the left guantlet (which basically was, too).

wonderfull :yess:
then, to my eyes, the best fix to this figure is the hot whater method.

Like that second shot, MicroJow. Looks like they're in a buddy-cop movie or something. Is it just me or is Boba's Bespin stand a different colour from IG-88's underneath the grill? Not that it matters, just curious if it's the camera or really a different colour. Looks more orange than IG's stand.

Whereas IG-88's base has what looks like an opaque piece of plastic beneath the grilles, Boba's base has what looks like a more solid-colored piece of plastic in there. I haven't turned on Boba's base yet, so I can't comment on how it differs from IG-88's while lit.

My photo was taken without benefit of a flash, FYI.

Interesting they are different and cool Sideshow figured out that placing the switch on the back was better than the bottom :lol :duh

Honestly this is a pretty minor fix compared to what some figures need. It's a bit of a pain, but the difference is worth it.

Not to mention you can also wet down the braids at the same time and get them to look much better :lecture
