Were the Tauntaun's eyes ever really narrowed in the movie or in pics like the SSC one has?

I got this figure today. Really impressive piece. I need the Han now (doubt I can justify a Tauntaun, plus I would probably break it!)

Better?

Watching review videos , the sculpt is good and it looks like Hamil. The eyes.are lifelike. The problem which I think we can all agree on is the paint detail in the face. It makes it look like.....plastic! Maybe not enough shading. It probably throws the head sculpt off a bit

Recently picked this up and unboxed it today, I think its great overall. Complaints: Hate the rank badge, color of the vest, the lit saber, and the stock body. I bashed the unhatted head with the Jedi Luke and really like the result, almost like a free figure. Probably won't even swap the body because I plan to grab a taun taun for Luke so the height will most likely not be too noticeable next to han when I get him. Will be using RIT tan dye on the vest, any advice? Would also like to snow weather them up but a little afraid I will trash the figure.

I used about a quarter of the sachet of the tan powder mixed in hot water. It looked quite dark brown soaked but once dried looks fine.

Also ordered a cheap copy of truetype slim body for the spare head and use sideshow jedi Lukes outfit.

OOPS. That link is looks like the standard "Narrow Shoulder" size but with a built-in neck.

I need these for other projects as I don't plan to change out the bodies on HT's troopers, but yeah, the regular "Narrow Shoulder" proportions don't work well with Marmit or Sideshow armor from previous reports, so I wouldn't expect any different with HT's.

Yeah, I don't think that's the "slim" like you think, Pixel. I think slim and narrow shouldered have been used interchangeably on the boards (and probably on ebay), through no fault of anyone's. Just an honest mistake.

Yeah, I don't think that's the "slim" like you think, Pixel. .

I only have one definition for slim, a shorter, thin body. HT's TTM22 and anything like it in proportions. The upper chest should be very narrow compared to regular or muscle bodies.

Here's the only true knock-off I know about: Custom Design 1 6 Nude Male Advanced Slim Body Fits to Hot Toys TTM22 TTM18 | eBay

"Narrow Shoulder" is just a variation on a normal/regular body, the most common found on third party figures and knock-off naked bodies. TTM18 style, smaller arms than HT's newer TTM21 "Regular"

The link ZE posted turns out is just a Narrow Shoulder with built-in neck - I just measured one of the ones I have here and it's about 10" from heel to shoulder as well.

Real HT Slim ($50 retail, now up to $100+):

Yeah, I don't actually know since I haven't had a TT Slim in-hand, unless that DX07 body is a modified TT Slim...the wide array of 1/6 bodies out there is confusing.
