Nice pictures but man that looks just as bad as Han.... Big eyes, bad likeness....

Has anyone done a head swap on this or the Hoth Han?

i have no problem with it, they are a little wider than i'd like but they in no way ruin it for me, as for the likeness i see Hamill

I wonder if applying a little dullcoat on the eyeballs would help reduce the glassy look. I may give that a shot with mine when it arrives.

Actually, the clarity of a cooked fish's eyes shows how fresh it is.

I see far more Hamill in this than the non-BD HT Luke... so this to me is the best non-BD Luke we've gotten in years. The HT BD Luke head is still the best Luke ever, like a shrunken-down Hamill on your desk.

Stealth's latest pictures are great but the 'uncanny valley' effect of those eyes is overwhelming - at that range at least (I'm sure its better on a shelf. Well, I'd hope so).

I don't see much Malkovich (though Malkovich in the early 80's has a passing resemblance to Hamill) but I do see a significant mismatch to the proto. You can see that the eyes are quite distorted versus the proto, looking slightly Asian like some earlier pics of Han Hoth. In addition the paint apps are way short of the proto's excellent hand-painted apps.

This is another very clear example of the wide gap between SSC's protos and production pieces. This is also the one head in the set that I'm not seeing much Hamill in at all (the BD portrait was the weakest of the lot even as protos,) though I will reserve judgement until it's in-hand as the pics I've used are scans from a youtube video, so color accuracy and detail are lower than needed.

How do you rate the exclusive "Vader Luke" head? Is it the same as the non-BD head? Does it look more realistic without the hair(line)?

The Vader luke head is the best 1/6th likeness we have seen, we sacrificed a lot for the PERS.

Yes, that's what I mean?

When a fish is alive it has clear eyes. When a fish dies it's eyes cloud over.

Put dullcoat on these eyes and he will look like a dead fish.

I didn't cancel the figure, I cancelled from SSC, and you have quoted parts of conversations irrelevant to your purpose and what's your point?

Some posts say a lot more about the poster than the product. Hm.

I think we're deep into "eye of the beholder" territory here.

When I look at this - ...I don't think the eyes look more or less realistic on either one.

Pretty awesome that we have these options.

...I imagine anyone who cancelled that one will not regret it, and those that are happy with Han will continue to be. Though Mark Hamill's more prominent eyes may be better suited to the new system.

I can't for the life of me see how you like this figure... but I'm pleased for you that you do. I guess the argument I had with my girlfriend last week - (it's blue and black! No, it's gold and cream!) is a great reminder for me of how we all see things differently.
