Nah, I'm not going to bother. It never ends well and it'll still never. :)

Fair enough.

I stand by my comment anyway. Just sick to death of people clogging up this thread with crappy debates, hatred posts and people who think their opinions on something are fact.

Quoting some pics to re-align this thread:

The sculpt is phenomenal. It's perfect.

It's pretty far back now, but what I posted about were my issues with the hair and makeup. I stand 100% behind my opinions on them, which others probably won't agree with. Fully rooted hair, in my eyes, never works in 1/6 scale. It's too bushy and, with the long hair Heath had as Joker, it puffs out too much and looks like he just woke up. Now, I don't know if anyone has tried greasing it up to match the movie look or if people are just afraid to do it since the damn thing was so expensive, but as it stands right now based on the pictures people are taking, the hair just doesn't work. It has flashes of brilliance, such as on the right side just above his ear, where it looks great. But overall it doesn't work for me. Moving on.

The makeup is another issue, one which Bobby has openly admitted. He's in the learning stages of doing 1/6 scale stuff, and that's really reflected in the makeup and hair. The makeup is caked on, is flaking off in some places and has globs of paint in others, the black paint around the eyes is sloppy (more so than in the movie), under the eyes where it's supposed to be running looks more like it was drawn on with a Sharpie, and there's even white globs in the black paint. The red paint on the lips is too neat, aside from the white globs, again, smattered throughout. It's far too neat in the scars under his lip and in his cheeks, and, despite how neat it looks, it's just sloppily done. This is, of course, in my opinion as someone who's been painting figures and heads for going on 12 years. Bobby's work at 1/3 and 1/6 is phenomenal, but at this scale he's obviously learning.

And that right there is where my issues lie. If you're happy with what you've gotten, good for you. I'm glad. But based on the pictures posted and Bobby's own admissions, there's no way on God's green Earth that I could ever justify paying so much for something that was used as a learning experience.

All I will say is pictures will not do this justice, my pics are crappy and do not demonstrate the awesomeness of this head, the paint work in hand is beautiful it really is, it looks so authentic and real, it looks true to the character I know from the film and love

I know it's easy for me to say that but really in hand it is astonishing and the problems you mention seriously do not exist up close and personal

Your argument doesn't add up though. No figure costs $1k unless it's years old from eBay scalpers. Far less a little head. Heck, you could buy 6 T-1000's for this with some $$ left over. I fear I may have offended somebody. You know how it's that easy on this forum sadly.

But I don't want 6 T-1000s.:dunno I want BobbyC's silicon Joker head, which to me, is the best Ledger Joker head ever made.;)

Remember Cr0w, Bobby did say he could make the paint as smooth as glass if he wanted to so if the customer chooses to, he could send it back and get the the flakes removed. Neo did it himself for his and I think his looks phenomenal.

I am. Couldn't be happier with it. It is perfect to me and how I could justify dropping the bones on it.

Just tired of coming into this thread hoping to see other owner's pics of this piece and all I find is _____ing, hatred and arguing over the same old bull____.

Why would I want a paintjob as 'smooth as glass'? Was Heath's head made of this material during filming?

Haha! You two. Haters... oh my god, seriously. Grow up. What are you? 11? the two of you act like spoilt children rather than adult collectors.

Oh and by the way, if bobby was the so called professional he claims to be, he wouldn't even be retaliating in any of this. I guess he has to stoop to that level though. Maybe he'll learn with internet critics.

Well voudun, I wasn't referring to you, but if you want to wear that hat...

And I'm just having fun by now.:joy You can call it childish or whatever. And Bobby, you can say what you want. It's not like you are a lawyer or a Doctor who really need to act "professional".

seriously? would you rather have a artist that thinks he is to good to come and hang with the guys ? or a guy that you need to talk to his manager?
I like to be a part of this as well .

So artists aren't allowed to comment back? Besides what kind of level is it to just go around from thread to thread, just looking for trouble to start?

Were you traumatized by a custom figure artist as a child or something? Seriously. :cuckoo:

I actually think the hair is really good on Snake's head.

I do see the flaky paint, or specs of white everywhere though, not sure what that's all about.

Minus the white specs I think the paint job is overall pretty great.

And I think any hair issues come from the packaging, because whenever Bobby posted pics of heads in his workshop they loooked pretty perfect

I've lurked on this thread for a bit and wonder if all the hate is a result of the price? Which I'm still not sure I know correctly actually but if it is what I think it is all I can say is it's far more than I would ever pay for a head alone. I've paid something close for a full custom figure and I ended up getting two figures with another body and I'm glad I own it. But that's just me personally and that's all it has ro be. Truth be told who the heck cares who paid how much as long as they are happy with it.

There seems to be some flaws in bobbys work sure but name one single head factory or custom that is flawless. You can't. the hair looks pretty cool on this for real hair. The face looks like Heath ledger a lot, I'm so over jokers I stopped caring about a better likeness after bank robber but Bobby c has done among a few ofhers' attempt a really awesome likeness to Heath. Is it revolutionary? No I don't think so because except for the fiRst HT one they are all pretty good. but it's fantastic and as good as any others.

I'm not sure why all the hate on this thread but it's a nice custom job, not something I feel like I need but happy for those that wanted it because it looks quite neat.
