Thanks for the insights. The "suspiciously cheap" ones on eBay are inexpensive enough to take a chance on, I suppose. If nothing else, I'll have a fun DIY project on my hands!

I'd just message the seller first to make 100% sure it's the scale you want. I have read about people who thought they ordered one in 1/6th scale, and a 1/12 turned up.

you need to read the description really carefully as some uses the 1/6 photo on a 1/12 listing. also, there are lots of bootlegs around which makes it even harder to purchase a real copy.

for the 1/6, a dead giveaway apart from lack of extra pair of hands (like the V1), are the weak wrist pegs, they will feel super tight and break easily. i have gotten 2 just for the lulz coz they were cheap, opened 1 broke the peg, seller gave me a full refund on that figure, i said it was too much can i just get a replacement peg he said they don't have replacement so i just accepted the refund...

Hello, the official 1/12 synthetic humans have a black circle with horizontal lines on the back of the neck, also the eyes should be movable. If you’re has neither, it’s a KO. It should’ve been ?65/$70, if it’s ?40 or less then it’s a KO.

I altered some HT pegs to fit mine. Those original pegs are rubbish anyway. HT ones are far sturdier.

New Dorohedoro figures look pretty cool, only caiman is articulated though.

Yeah I’m excited for them. You gotta think if they sell well then articulated Nikaido and Noi will come later. I really like the Threezero Caiman is good, but the lower body’s a bit restrictive.

As excited as I am for more Dorohedoro stuff, I don't think I can spring for the 2-pack. Nikaido is as much a main character as Caiman, and she's way more acrobatic and agile. I guess they could make a real figure with one of her other looks down the line...but that still leaves Noi, and the track suit is her main outfit.

Weird way to package the series leads. It'd be like if they announced a Batman line but only ever made Robin and Harley Quinn.

Do they even fit as the 1000toys pegs are much bigger. What mods did you make? Are they not the same high quality pegs as the original synthetic human?

Did you read the part where I said I altered them? Lol.
The pegs on the bootleg are very slender. I just shaved down the peg that goes into the wrist. I’ll post pics if you want.
They are sturdy but the Hot Toys ones are more so.
And I am using HT gloved hands.

alright i'm lost in between Synthetic Human/Hellboy/Original/Bootlegs i don't even know which figure i'm talking about anymore. but year the bootleg pegs sucks big time. Mine broke and half of it still in the wrist i just whitetac it like i did with the Medicom Raiden.

I am not fond of these non-articulated figures. I usually buy all 1000toys, but I don't want this to be a trend, so I will show my disapproval the best way I can - by not buying. Love 1000toys.
Regaring bootlegs ... if it is cheap, it's a bootleg. Sorry, but that is a good rule of thumb. If it is too good an offer to be true ... it's a bootleg.

You’re even less likely to get articulated figures of the other characters if you don’t support the line at all. Probably better off sending an email to their contact info saying you want articulated versions of Noi and Nikaido.
