I'm sure someone here who's better at photoshop and has more time can make a nicer looking comparison:

I based the size of her head on this pic:

Now how the heck can I get my Leia's dress to fold like that???

I wonder how the Kenner/Hasbro one from 1997 would work? I know it's oversized, but that would create some nice folds, and the material has a better drape about it. Plus, this SS neck scarf/hood thing I could still keep and use since it's a separate piece. Hmmmm.....

Here's the trouble I see with trying to recreate that folded look. I had some ideas to do that, but I don't think there's enough material. Because of the weight of Carrie's dress, the excess material still would fall close on her body, where without something to aid it, the clothes on the figure would just flare out and look bad, which is likely why Sideshow went with the cut they used. My idea was to uses a thin piece of string run through the dress throughout around the waist are and pulled tight in the back to wrinkle the front, but again, I don't think there's enough material there.

Nice shots Evil, but be careful, I can see her collar already coming apart from the shoulders in this picture.

You may want to consider using FrayCheck on the collar if it starts to fray. You can pick it up at your local Joann's or other fabric store for a couple bucks. It will bind that raw edge and help it from unraveling.

I have never heard of that. Is it possible to use on Luke's Jedi cloak as well?

its actually for edges that aren't hemmed or serged. Its a liquid that you run across the edge of your fabric that binds the loose fibers together to make it less likely to fray.

Thanks Kevin I'll definitely look into it... I love the frayed look of his cloak, but it does worry a bit.

:rock

no problem. just keep in mind when you're using it, a little bit goes along way. the edges don't need to be saturated in it.

Glad I cancelled this one - seems theres more of a bobble head issue with this than Boosh judging from posted pics from those with it inhand

the dress and belt looks as though it could be quite easily replicated

Think Ill wait for a fantastic correctly scaled sculpt of this to come along in the Customisers forum (might be a long wait I know)

and bash one out myself

Not my favorite Leia. If my Exclusive waitlist converts, Great. If not, no big loss.
Might try to get one on evilbay a few months down the line, if the price is right. Now if it was an Endor Leia, or a Rebel officer, then We would have a different Story :)

Yeah, I'm not too upset that I canceled her either. She looks ok but just not my cup of tea.

Wow.... MistaCarrot, your photos never cease to amaze me!

And Wor-Gar, thanks for the shots you took. It allows me to kinda see it how it would be in my home. I'm still okay on cancelling her but I'll definitely get one down the line at a lower price. The binders weren't an exclusive I had to have.
