Not likely, but I'm still crossing fingers I got an incompetent painter that put the eyes on straight, I can dream right? haha.

I know what you mean. I may get a cheap Leia down the road just to have her repainted eyes forward. I think this just shows how limiting expressive sculpts/paint jobs can be.

Crimeny?!? I totally forgot she was arriving today... something fun to look forward to when I get home :rock

What it really shows is the need to develop cost effect heads with poseable eyes, then you can the best option of all.

I agree with the thought that posed eyes adds life to a figure, but it has limits and if it's not done right, it can lose the look of the character. The Sideshow Scarface 1st release figure had posed eyes, and I think a lot of Pacino being lost was due to that. Same with this head, I think it'd look more like Carrie and as good as Boushh if the eyes were done forward like Boushh. customizers do posed eyes and it works because they're meticulous and use a lot of reference to get it right. Some factory worker overseas is doing cookie cutter work and it's not as effective. I plan to myself or have someone redo the eyes for me, but in the mean time, I'll just have to be creative with images to work around it, but I've got some interesting stuff in mind already.

Dittos here, and that dress is godawful. Why didn't they use the same material they used for Darth Maul? That had life to it, and folds and whatnot.

I'd love to see movable eyes, take the figures that next step. Maybe someone else can answer this though, how are the seams in the head for the separation of I guess the hair and head to get access to the eyes?

It's been a while since I've seen one, but the Bruce Lee I saw looked fantastic, and I imagine the seams are no more noticeable than current figures. I think if you made it so the hair was the part that came off for access, the seam would be hardly noticeable at all.

Interesting point there, I still think Maul has one of the best draping outfits among any of my 1/6 figures, the upper parts especially really matches to how it behaved in the film and it would be interesting to see how that would perform for a Leia design.

Personally I think that she would only benefit from better flowing clothes and make her look more natural and not so stiff. Although I canceled my exclusive I may get one down the line and pull out mom's sewing machine and make her a decent outfit.

got my leia today! the figure is great in person and is 1000 times better than any hasbro version.most of you complain too much.Sideshow did a good job and im not sure how they could of done any better

Got mine today. The sculpt is great. Looks as good as Boushh IMO. The dress is kind of not that great and isn't exactly what I would want normally from SS, and it also makes it hard for the stand to really hold the figure. The hands and arms color difference isn't an issue in person. The paint is quite nice too on everything.

Ok, first impressions. The head is great but for the eyes, but at least on mine, it doesn't seem to be too dramatic. The hand color mismatch is unusual but not so blatant it can't be looked past. The dress on the other hand, bit of a let down. Overall, I think they did about as good as they could with the outfit, BUT, and maybe I missed someone pointing this detail out before, the hood and collar being separate entirely from the top of the dress, with the opening of the dress having frayed edges, seems a bit cheap in design to me, and I think had they ran the dress up into the collar, it would have also fattened the neck and reduced the bobble head effect from the buck body. Overall, a decent figure and a welcome addition to the collection, but it isn't a jaw dropper.

Just got Leia, and I have to say she's overall a solid figure. The eye's don't really bother me, even though I'd prefer a straight on... its still better than a deer in the headlights :lol

The work on her face is quite good, an area Sideshow seems to be getting more consistent in. But like others, the big meh point is the dress... while its not abhorent, it just seems a bit underwhelming. But, it does look like Leia from AHN, so as it is I think Sideshow did a good job on it and I'm happy to have her in the collection.

Now I did get the exclusive, and I would say the cuffs are definitely not worth the extra scratch if you can live w/o the status of the sticker :D

I must admit I am one of those that cannot live without that sticker. I live for the gold. Glad to hear though that Leia is getting some positive buzz.

Good one Natrix. :lol

I think I am in the minority, but I like Expressive eye paints. I actually prefer them. Even if it does limit the poses, it makes for a good display. At least IMO.

Anyway, it's easier for me to deal with...
