somehow I seriously doubt SSC can bury the other 2. you think SSC would make a 1/6 queen? or the power loader? I dont really think they would.

Given assistance with engineering, yes, I think SSC could do any of those. Who'd have thought they'd even make Jabba. Sure he's just vinyl and basic, but it's still one of the more groundbreaking 1/6 pieces done and came before the Power Loader.

However, the point being raised is not that SSC could bury HT overall, people are just saying if SSC can mange the quality of HT with a lower price on traditional 1/6 pieces, it would certainly give them an edge and I agree with that. HT's great product but a difficult price tag, if you could get that but cheaper it'd be awesome.

I believe Sidehsow said it at CIV.. I thought you were there? :lol

Nope, just SDCC. They worked with Hot Toys on the Hobbit body, but they didn't say anything about other bodies. They might have. I don't deny that. But generally they aren't afraid to say HT helped us with this (like the Hobbit body). I just figured IF they did help, Sideshow would have said it in the Backstage Pass video.

Your sentences and spelling. Some of it didn't make sense. So I happily took the time to fix some errors so it made sense.

as happy as I am about SSC catching up on their game in 1/6, I think its totally ridiculous that you guys are bashing medi for what they have accomplished. medi started making armor figures way back in 2001, it took ssc long enough to finally break into that catagory. Also, ssc didn't do this on their own. its a collaboration with HT, and I dont really that many post on the thread giving HT credit. and lastly, everyone of you harp on medi prices, SSC (and HT) prices are going up and magically many of you states you'll but no matter what the price is.

ah, I see, thanks. I dont really re-read stuff I type on forum before I post them. sometimes the mind just goes too fast for the hand to type them all down.

I'm pretty sure the SDCC dialogue included that the collaboration included adult bodies but the first was the child size. As neither company had one, it was more beneficial for both parties to develop that one first. These other bodies are likely to be exclusive to Sideshow, and therefore doesn't benefit Hot Toys much.

Someone get a spray bottle. I think Badmoon is going nutty. :lol

I might be flayed alive for saying this but I'm not so happy with the announcement. From reading posts I’m obviously in the minority. I like everyone was anxious for the first armoured figure and finally to get something only to be hit with one I’m not interested in is always going to be a let down.

Don't get me wrong I think he looks great and it's nice to see SS finally produce an armoured character. As alway SS had hit us from left field. I didn’t expect him.

As a rule of thumb I try to stick with just movie and stay way from EU etc....

I dunno what to do now! Part of me wants to order him since he looks so good and since he is the first official armoured figure, but the other half just think he wont fit in with my collection. I just better make up my mind before he goes to order.

Either way it’s good to see most are pleased and he will go quick.

I can understand this, but you're getting a taste of what's yet to come. I'm positive they'll have a pre-order for a Clone Trooper either sometime after Toy Fair or at SDCC. So it's coming, just a little while longer. :D

They said their partnership with HT would effect all bodies and beyond. :lecture

No matter whether you're a Sideshow freak or Medi-nut-swinger, you've got to admit, it's a great time to be a STAR WARS fan!

I'm glad to see the competition get more even! :emperor

That's why I not ranting. I have alway enjoyed what SS have come up with and as always I'm sure we can expect great things to come.

it would be awesome if that happens, we'll know more on friday.

I agree. This is the best news since they announced the license. I was semi-excited by the DST SW news but this trumps it by a mile. I'm really hoping for a -$100 price tag so I can get both versions.

I recall reading some where that HT has a child size body before they did the hobbits with SSC.
