Well I don't think it's the notion of SSC's Star Wars directly competing with Medicom or HT like one Star Wars line to another, just in general, being able to produce figures of matching quality be it armor or clothes, and coming out with a smaller price tag. That's what I think some are driving at.

Hmm, I see.
Still, if we look back, HT's Colonial Marines shipped through SST came in at 80-90? Or less? And Gandalf's 90. So there's not much of a price difference there...
And how much was Han? 75?
I'm just arguing for argument's sake. Both HT and Medi have vast lines of product that do not compete with SST and vice versa. What I'm driving at is: folks who like Robocop or Aliens or Rambo will buy HT figures, regardless of how much Obi Wan with armour or Gandalf cost. Same goes for Ultraman or Hibiki fans on the Medi-front, and LOTR and SW fans on the SST side of the equation.
Ultimately, the competition and collaboration between all three companies are giving us more and better figures than we had any right to expect, from licenses and movies we could only dream of a few years ago.

Yay for us!

I totally agree! Each has their strengths and weaknesses and there is plenty of room for all of them... now that's not to say there is plenty of room in my wallet for all of them, but that's not their fault! :lol

No. They wouldn't make the main Obi-Wan of Episode II a Con exclusive.

:lol...Thats what people said about GG's ROTS Anakin...they wont make him a (the main) character a exclusive....you just never know what a company plans to do.

That's true. I was surprised they made Nazi Kroenen an exclusive since it was the coolest looking representation of the character in the movie. You never know.

This is on Sideshow's comment page. Dave tell us how you really feel. :rotfl :monkey3

Of all the armored figures you could do why do Obi-Wan? We have been waiting patiently for a Vader, Stormtrooper, or even Fett. I am very disappointed.

Sideshow has a magnitude more respect for their customers than GG does! So they wouldn't make a major character into an exclusive unless everyone including non-attendees had a chance at it, which means a huge edition size.

I've just read through 70 odd pages and I have to say .. friday can't come soon enough ! :D

Outstanding ! Never saw this one coming, all we need to go with this is an Anakin now !

Four freakin' minutes without a post... what gives? :google

:rotfl:rotfl

At least it's better than this
