After playing with him for a day now, I do have a few issues with the body. Mine has a lot of loose joints. Which makes it hard to get a natural looking pose. But, I still love this figure and will buy the rest of the line. Maybe Sideshow will sell the Prometheus later on and I'll just replace him with tighter body.

Does anyone think they will do a second chance on the exclusive? I know it says SOLD OUT but I havent been around long enough to figure out how second-chance works.

I got mine and it would be a great figure if the joints were tighter. Has Sideshow commented on the loose joints in the Prometheus? Do they plan to address it?

This is a horrible final product. The paint sucks.

Please post some pictures here once yours jacket is finished. I'd love to see it. I may do the same weathering to mine that you're doing to yours. Thanks! :D

Will do. If it doesnt work...well, that sucks. But I think it might. I could try it on another leather like thing to test....

Has to be said that the paint is pretty bad now they're charging $90, you'd expect the stubble to look better than that, it's a real pitty cos that does look like a good solid sculpt under there.:monkey2

It's a GREAT sculpt. Just look at some of the repaints.

The problem is that Sideshow is just no Hot Toys.

Well, after having the POTC figures I'd say HT is capable of having issues themselves. So its not like HT never makes mistakes either though some would like to act like their the second coming of Jesus Christ.

The stubble is a little off with Indy but the rest I'm happy with on both the heads that come with the figure. Both are much better than the POTC figures or the Aliens figures.

I'd say the biggest area where HT excels in paint and SSC needs to aim for is eyes. HT eyes in the last year, year and a half are very lifelike, and first and foremost step towards that for Sideshow is doing away with the doll dot, that and the heavily defined line shaping the eyes, it's supposed to be eye lashes I imagine but comes out a bit too bold sometimes, like Clonobi.

Funny you say that. 6 out of the 12 TrueTypes I ordered (both Caucasian and Asian) came with moderate to severe cases of "lazy-eye syndrome." If I'd been using the headsculpts on them I would've been absolutely furious. But for that matter, so did both of my Leon figures which is absolutely unforgivable at that pricepoint.

While I know they're also guilty, to date, the only Sideshow figure I've gotten with jacked eyes has been Padme. Her eyes weren't lazy though, just psychotic. And I still have yet to see a pic from a freak of Indy with a drifting eye.
