I missed out on the Exclusive Edition from SS. So, I will be settling for the Regular Edition from my local retailer.

This will be my 2nd Indy figure. The current one I have is a customised 1/6 scale figure which I bought from a local flea mart. After some "touching up" work as well as giving the figure a whip, this customised Indy figure took its place proudly amongst my collection of SW and LOTR figures.

Quick question...

If one was to buy an extra body or two for some custom Indy figures to use with the extra heads we get with the Sideshow figure, what base body should we order??

Keep in mind that SS's Indy will be on the new Prometheus body and extra ones of those won't likely be for sale at the time. What other bodies out there would work with the new Prometheus head types??

Good question-- with the additional head it definitely means any possible working body will help greatly...

I'm using a BBI 3.5 for my German soldier Indy. I tested the neck post on an HT head and it was fairly compatible if just a tad wobbly. The neck post on the BBI is a cone instead of a ball, so I trimmed a bit off the tip of it and used some super glue to fill it out into more of a ball shape and it works perfectly now. The best part is, the hand pegs are compatible with Sideshow hands with no mods necessary. They're just like the ball pegs that came on the early Star Wars figures.

Thanks for the tip! I'll look for a BBI 3.5 as well. How are the options for hands with those?

Dragon hands will work on the BBI as well, so you shouldn't have a problem finding what you need.

The one drawback to the BBI 3.5 is it's a little muscley. The only alternative I can think of would be the HT True Type.

I haven't actually tried putting a Hot Toys ball-jointed head on it, but I do have the Sideshow Hunchback of Notre Dame figure, and it has a ball-jointed neck post that looks like it might work. (It's also pretty cheap nowadays.)

I sure hope the Indy head can fit well into a HT True Type Body. I have one of these lying around somewhere in my store room! Although I also have the BBI 3.5, I would prefer to use the HT True Type due to its tighter joints and ability to stand on its own without the need for a Y-stand.

The exclusive should have been a python...

Totally random comment. :wave You may continue now with your serious discussions. ;)

snakes of all sizes will go great with this figure. That coupled with a TOD "we're all going to die :( " head would make for a hilarious setup.

Check out what the 12" Hasbro Cairo Swordsman comes with:

A little more detailing and that might work.

I didn't notice til just now, but if you bleached out the swordsman's outfit it'd be perfect for a map room Indy.

Good find, Irish Jedi.

A repaint would really work.

Cast about a hundred of that snake on the left and repaint the cobra and we're well on our way to recreating the archeological dig scene.

You're right! Make that white and futz it a good bit and it should work. I'm gonna try that! :rock

(And, at worst... I'll have some decent 1/6 snakes. :lol )
