"Men of Faith" Seriously?

They do not even pretend to care about women's contributions to religion with a label like that. Stay classy, patriarchy. :moon

no offense to women, but the Men in the Bible do have greater stories, greater feats in the books of the Bible.....Woman played some role...but not like the chosen Men of God

in Fact, why was Women acursed having to bare children and given Rule under Men? Because of Eve..who Fell first (Satan spoke to Eve first). This is Scriptural.....

problem is...the long hair Jesus is the Anti-Christ...Jesus did not have long hair...and while the MAINSTREAM portrays Jesus with long hair, it does not mean he had long hair

I Corinthians 11:14
"Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?"

If Jesus had long hair, that makes him a Hyppocrite and a liar?..Jesus absolutely did NOT have long hair

Hmmmm... I have to disagree here solely on the assumption of what we believe "long" is. I would dare to say women wore there hair longer than their shoulders which is about where most film and some artistic renderings show as his hair. So if you had a woman with hair to her waist and a man with it to his shoulders... which one has long hair?

That being said, he could have shaved his head for all we know. I just think it's hard to say what long is or isn't.

Long haired Jesus is the Anti-Christ??? :lol that's a new one.

Good one on the second commandment :lecture Most people never follow up with the rest of the verse putting it in the context of the item being worshiped.

They both look like a woman :)

I Corinthians states, “Does not even nature (the inborn quality of a man as contrasted to that of a woman) itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?”

It is a shame for a man to have his hair long. Apart from God’s Word, even nature shows this. A man should not look like a woman! For one thing, long hair is not manageable and would just get in his way. A man’s hair was never intended to grow long. Long hair on a man interferes with the duties and responsibilities that are part of the male role.

Christ simply would not have grown His hair long. To do so would have contradicted His Word

Women baring children has NOTHING to do with the curse of the fall of man.

The only thing mentioned was the the womans pain would be increased indicating that it was not going to be as bad before the fall.

Under the new covenant - Women are no different to God then men. (Issues of creative order that Paul talked about and submission in a marital context aside) "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Gal 3

Mary had a pretty big role :D

I know the verse... My point is how do you know what "long" was in the mind of Paul? You are placing your own assumption on it. That's all I'm saying.

Wanna bet?

Genesis 3:16 "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire [shall be] to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

If a man's hair was never meant to grow long, wouldn't you think it'd stop at a certain length, like with a cat or a dog, or even like the hair on our very own arms and legs?

Dont argue with me about it.:) I am giving you Scripture about it...of course a Man's hair will grow if he doesnt cut it...but most men naturally lose his hair and goes bald...so are men really meant to have hair?? A Woman's Hair is her covering, her beauty

I wonder if...

What are you getting at here? That children are part of the curse? :slap

I'm not arguing with you, I'm genuinely curious. I'm just questioning what you said, it strikes me as very odd (and it's something I'd never heard before). It seems like you should have a halfway logical/sensible answer to my question, unless you're not really thinking about you're saying and have never sought to actually understand it but just to memorise the order of a series of words, which is how it's starting to seem now...

A good percentage of men don't actually go bald at all. Even for those that do go bald though, they're still usually left with a good amount of hair on the back and sides, which they can grow down to their feet if they desire and comb right across their head and down one side of their body... As well, a good percent of women also go bald by a certain point.
