OK, I'm glad you don't have any mean attitude Nash, that makes me glad. But I really would prefer that there be as many items as there are people who want them--the whole concept of something being limited makes no sense to me. I think we should give everybody a chance to get something! Yay!
Captain, think about it...If something wasnt limited and an infinite number was made, would you really be paying hundreds of dollars for it?

The price of every one of these collectibles is reflected by it's "limitedness" whether we like it or not guys.

Ask Jedi Mike what he paid to have one of the 300 patient zero zombie figures.

Collecting is about having a collection of something that makes you happy, something that you can show people that says something about you. If other people collect the same thing, great! You can share that enjoyment! It's not fun if you can't share. And bragging? I don't see any redeeming quality in that kind of thing. It can make people envious, left out, or sad, and there's no way in this world I would do that to somebody. I collect because I love Star Wars, and nothing makes me happier than a fantastic figure sitting on my shelf!

Exactly Captain Aldeggon I buy these because I enjoy them and they remind of a movie I love: Star Wars nothing more nothing less. I think the majority of collectors collect for that reason and there are scalpers that collect for greed, and get off on other people being envious, pretty petty and small but people have the right to do what they want no matter how bottom feeding it is. It's actually one of the things that's killed some of the fun of collecting, collectors who don't get it, by the way I collect Vintage because I grew up playing with the Vintage figures and the love of Star Wars sprang from that time era in my life. Not because they are rare, please don’t try an assume anything for me again.

Part of collecting and buying collectibles in general is having something that not EVERYONE has. that is the bottom line.

This hobby is all about bragging rights, if you cant accept that then i think you are the one whos in the wrong hobby.

I haven't paid that much for anything. I'm up for paying a lot for quality, not collectibility. I've just never liked the idea of making something intentionally hard to get. What if somebody else wants one? Oh well, knowing me I'd probably end up giving it away LOL. Still, I'm not a fan of the idea, but yeah, I know people enjoy it, and I'm not one to say whether they can or can't. Just sayin' what I feel--which is, why limit them? Oh well LOL!

Amir, scalpers huh? I guess selling a 4 inch figure for hundreds of dollars is just dandy. I cant wait to hear your response to this.

Hey... they should release more Zero's ;)... because I want one.

LOL.. everyone who thinks this is bad.. think of those poor fools who are going to buy a PS3 for thousands more... only to be able to pay regular price months from now.

I dont understand why you guys are jumping on me like I made collecting not fun. Im not the one charging you hundreds of dollars and Im not the one deciding on the Edition Sizes.

About the Patient Zero, people knew it was limited and if they didn't get it when it was available originally naturally you are at the mercy of a secondary market when the primary supplier has said their products are limited, one run only items. With the PS3s, well if you chose not to preorder it and don't wanna wait, well that's your own fault there.

With Asajj, only about 15 minutes to go!

Listen, buying something when it's available at retail and then flipping it for more money is scalping much like what you do with Master Replica's and other PF's, and Medicom Figures. Buying something for hundreds of dollars like my vintage figures and then trying to sell them for that amount is not, these are items that has been out of the retail stores for over 20 years now. GET IT, probably not but that's just you isn't.

Yyou guys are gonna miss the PPO if you keep this debate up much longer! :lol
I'm just getting the plain old regular version, you guys can duke it out for the "rare collectible" one. :monkey5

It's often the case that "rare" is only related to "money." I think true collecting is about something you enjoy, not something monetary. So yes, I think they should give more chances for people to have things they like if possible. Sometimes you can't, but often you can. I like to lean towards the more generous side!
