2009 1/6 Line Direction

Good. I guess I can save my money.

ANH Stormies, Red Guard, Scout Troops, the Fetts and the Vaders are all I am after pretty much.

This will suck. At first I wanted no troopers at all. Then I decided that Bly, Bacara, Cody and Gree would be cool. Then the stormtrooper was announced, and I decided I wanted one, and a snowtrooper, and a bikerscout, but no sandtroopers.

I was able to cancel the stormtrooper, but I don't think the sandtroopers will be so easy. Then there's Boba Fett. Three Vaders. This has gone all wrong.

Since it is the armored year and I collect OT Imperials armored or not, I wouldn't mind seeing in the near future the following figures:

- Darth Vader ESB, ROTJ and maybe ROTS (and helmet reveal if possible)
- Sandtroopers with orange and black pauldrons (Squad Leader and Corporal)
- Scout (I will use the Hasbro speederbike for him)
- Snowtrooper (with E-Web cannon )
- General Veers with armor and helmet
- AT-AT Driver
- TIE Fighter Pilot
- Death Star Gunner
- Royal Guard (I have the RAH one but wouldn't mind if SS makes one)
- McQuarrie Darth Vader
- McQuarrie Stormtrooper
- McQuarrie Snowtrooper

I really hope that every figure is nbot going to be 'armoured'. That'll make for a VERY boring year although very wise of SSC given the 're-use' value in the armour templates.

I was buying everything but then I decided that for the sake of cash and display space I was only getting Jedi and Sith.

So I still want to see more Jedi, Dooku and ROTJ Emperor.

Troopers are easy to pass on because there will always be another one down the road, so probably can pick them up cheap 2nd hand.

I'll be getting anything OT so the Sandtrooper announcement was a nice surprise. Snowtroopers are a must too. I couldn't care less if they never did Jango but an in scale Boba would be cool.

I am surprised at some of the reactions here about armored figures. You would think 2+ years without a single armored figure would be enough to drive everyone armor crazy, I guess not. The way I see it part of my SSC shelf was turning all brown (all the Jedis) so this is a welcome change that needed to be done sooner rather than later. I for one am pumped at the possibility of having awesome OT and PT troops in all their 1/6th scale glory this year. Just no ROTJ/Special Edition Stormtroopers please, not yet anyway. Drop the sexless monks and let's bring in the troops!

I'd say that Dengar is a given. I'll be that he has already been developed and is awaiting a grand unveiling . I reckon we'll see both Jango and Boba at SDCC this year. Boba's exclusive will be different coloured gauntlets.

While I like the gauntlet concept, if you're referring to making a ROTJ/ESB all in one that way, he also will require a second jetpack, I don't know if they'll go that far.

If you mean these though, the original mockup guantlets, that'd be very cool.

True, Fett is short on items to come with, I suppose they could go Bib Fortuna and do something like a Kenner throwback or whatever, maybe that pike he used in the cartoon when he debuted.

I'm thinking ROTJ will be first or at least a guarantee, SSC has put a lot into the Jabba setup, I'm sure they'll want to offer a proper Boba to add to that setup.

I hope we see ROTS Commanders, really break out the good stuff. Spread out the stock Troopers like AOTC clone paint variants like 1 here and there and mix in unique designs. Cody, Biker Scout and TIE Fighter would sure make a nice assortment of varying designs.
