I won't be getting either, but HT has this one for me.
Tailoring seems better and I prefer the sculpt.
If you use the price versus quality argument for Sideshow and Hot Toys, you could say that Hasbro could compete with Sideshow, or Volkswagen can compete with Farrari.
Its a flawed argument.
This is true and I remember having the argument way back when SSC got the line from Hasbro despite my desire.
I just know that at some point "uber high quality" means a great figure that will make some ubercollector happy, but if I can't afford it or it causes me to sacrifice too many other things, why should I be among those hoping for that? Is it selfish to NOT want to be priced out and say that I'm ok with not having the OMG Hot Toys quality?
Man, I really do have a hard time grasping the idea that wanting something to maintain my standards (so I can afford it) is selfish, but someone wanting it to meet their standards (causing many others to not afford it) is not selfish.
Its not the first time I heard it, but I still don't get it.
Is it just a matter of saying "the pursuit of highest quality" should be the optimum motivation?
Imagine if only those interested in spending $10,000 for the newest TV were the only people given the opportunity to own a tv.
Enterbay has a screen accurate cat! I'm still goin with HT.
