Anyone want to come to the airport to welcome our boys home? they've done their best for us at this WC played with heart and passion that i've never seen before! :rock :lol

Pfft. At least I can get on with watching the world cup enjoying the football now. :dunno

And I really genuinely thought we would do better than the second round. :(

To quote Bond, "Shocking. Positively shocking."

The disallowed goal will be talked about non stop for days over here :lol

... and rightly so  if it was 2-2 at the start of the second half we wouldnt be playing so high up to try and get the equalizer which gifted the germans 2 more goals. I call BS on this :mad::mad:

To be fair they've been ripping us to bits since the match started, it's been men against boys out there.

I'm gutted but nothing we can do but get drunk and forget about it.

Regardless, it'll be impossible to measure the psychological effect that disallowed goal had (on both teams) and how it affected the 2nd Half. We'll never know.

Yep we'll never know now and i hope we get goal line technology soon because this can't go on.

Funny that they show David Beckham sitting on the bench looking sad....does this guy EVER play????

He isnt even in the squad :lol Just there as a mascot I guess, would much prefer a guy in a badger suit though.

I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THIS!!!!! :lol England are clearly the best team in this competition, just you know.....bad decisions and... uh ... high altitude, weather and......... stuff :monkey3.

Oh well that's it boys get on your well deserved holiday. We'll win the next one. :yess: :cuckoo:

Safe to say Wayne Rooney is a international bust.

Not really. He's not been 100% fit since the end of the Premier League season and doesn't get anything like the same kind of support from his team-mates as he does for his club.........most of England's regular players would never make the reserves at Man Utd.

You could put Messi, Ronaldo or any other top player in the position Rooney is in and they would still struggle. Having all the individual talent in the world means nothing if you can't rely on the players around you to do their bit.

Had David Beckham not been injured before the tournament I reckon there would have been a bit more from Rooney as even though Beckham is way past his best he's still the only England player capable of delivering consistently good passes.

Sure the disallowed would've played a part in the players' mentality and the tactical aspect of the match, but you can't disagree that England were outplayed and that Germans deserved to win.

No, I cant disagree :( TBH we've played awful throughout the whole tournament and were lucky to even get past the group stages.

But I must say I feel alot better now that ive gone out and scratched next doors VW :monkey3

A well deserved win,Germany is definitely one of my top 3 picks to win the world cup after today's performance.

One other thing i liked about this match, the ref...sure the shot in the Bar that was over the line was a mistake by the lines man but other than that the ref was top notch...He didn't blow the whistle for every single "Fake" dive that we have seen enough of in this world cup,but then again we didn't see a bunch of sissies out there today either,i really enjoyed this game.

The match was probably as good as lost as soon as that happened.

Our national mentality was once world reknowned and went far beyond sport but nowadays it seems instead of fighting to the bitter end it's easier to capitulate and blame somebody else.
