It's about killing the giant.... Brazil are technically so sound...

You obviously watched a different match than I.

They had one dreampass and a few flashes of individual ball control.

Add to that 8 or 9 ridiculous, theatrical dives.

The Dutch are controlling the ball better at midfield (neither side great) but having breakdowns at the point to get the attack goign within 18 metres.

Brazil played some great football in the first half. Some brilliant passing and dribbles could have lead to another goal. I think you'd have to say that the first goal was an error on Ooijer's part. If he would have pushed up a little more, the goal would've been offside. But that's what happens when one of you key central defenders (Mathijsen) gets injured at the last minute. A good defence is built over time.

I really, really, REALLY hate the diving and flopping in this sport. All of them do it to some extent, but some teams (Italy, Brazil, Ghana, etc) are just god damned ridiculous about it. Buncha pansies.

i cant believe Ooijer/number 13 played rodinho onside.:gah::panic::gah:

get back in there Netherlands!! Flying Dutchmen.:pray:

In my opinion it is the Latin/southern teams that seem to dive constantly.

You do not see the Netherlands, Croatia, Germany, the Czechs, England, Denmark, etc. diving constantly.

I was always a huge soccer fan , especially the world cup. But I am starting to lose interest, thanks to all the points you made. I've seen players get taken off on stretchers only to be back again in a few minutes. Really?? When was the last time a player was taken off in a stretcher in the NFL and just went back into the game? I know, I know different sport but still..the theatrics border on the WWE level...

Another loss of interest is the same teams winning all the damn time and the obvious favoritism that is conceded to these teams by the officials, no offsides calls, Yellows for no reason,goals negated, blah blah blah....

This world cup might prove me wrong , maybe Ghana win the whole thing, but in the end it'll be Brazil. Again :sleep boring.
