All this talk about DX Jack winning figure of the year has convinced myself to pick him up. I havn't any DX figures so far and it would be good to get him while he's still cheap.
When was Ezio released? He is a spectacular figure.

Jack was a harder figure to produce- the sculpt, the tailoring, and the accessories. People have an emotional thing with Supes because, well, he's Supes. But Jack is simply a superior effort and product imo.

Yeah... Supes really can't compete with Jack... if you really look at the two figures, it's obvious which one is more demanding.

I mean Superman is a good figure, but I definitely wasn't all that impressed when I got him. He looks too simple, which isn't HT's fault at all.

I gotta agree there. Having received our shipment of Jack Sparrow the clear winner is the Captain.

The packaging, the clothing, the sculpt, the overall package is just must more impressive and worth every penny. Never have I been so in awe with a HT figure in hand since DX01 and everyone knows that's the pinnacle for HT fig back then.

Superman is a good figure, but I definitely wasn't all that impressed when I got him. He looks too simple.

For me, based on the figures I bought this year, it would have to be HT Captain America. The detail on the costume is just amazing and I really enjoyed the movie. HT Superman would be my second choice.

I don't have HT Jack, but from the pics, he is an amazing figure.

I reckon Jack is the technically best figure of the year... But Supes is a league ahead in terms of emotional satisfaction.

Jack is probably the most impressive figure, as a figure. But when you factor in the character and the importance of the figure to geekdom (I do), Reeve Superman blows it out of the water IMO.

I know I'll get reemed for this, but mine is Hot Toys Indy. Yeah the likeness is off, but I've had more fun with this one than any other figure in my collection.

HT Spiderman.

HT Superman and HT Sparrow are both absolutely amazing, but being able to get HT Spidey for $135 and the other 2 for $200, Spidey's an easy pick.

(Interesting that there is very few Iron Man figures getting nominations despite them being Hot Toys most developed line this year.)
