I'm also reluctant to take a chance on waiting for clearance for the Slave One having missed this big version twice before it seems. The promo-shots look excellent.

You want my 2013 TVC version mother ****er?!

No interest in 6 inch. I'm not sure why they even bothered renewing the license. Maybe they had to in order to keep Marvel.

Ordered :slap

Now where is our 6? Haslab Imperial Walker lol

Thanks for the offer, I'm really liking the look of this new one though - the paintjob (assuming it's what we get) looks stellar and it has a flightstand....

I was thinking the same thing. I thought for SURE the license wasn't going to get renewed just based off the fact that each year they're offering less and less and Star Wars figures are pretty much dead at retail.

The only truly "new" items seem to be retro Snowspeeder Luke, 6" Snowspeeder Luke, 6" Snowspeeder and Dak and the Hoth Rebel soldier (which are all amazing). I thought there was going to be a helluva lot more.

Wouldn't surprise me if you're right and the agreement was due in part to the Marvel license. And look what they've done there. There are a TON of new Marvel Legends releases. That and the Ghostbusters line is pretty impressive.

There's so much more you could buy for that price point they're asking, collectible wise.

I once thought as you did when the 6" first popped up. I was against them. Then I got a couple of them and they made the little 3 3/4s seem like dinky crap.

I pretty much replaced most of my modern 3 3/4s with the 6" versions and cleared a lot of my collection. The modern 3 3/4 ones I did keep are only ones that fit with in with the vehicles since I'm never getting rid of the BMF Falcon, AT-AT, etc.

Don't worry, you can buy the Slave 1 on clearance for $30 again. Just like the TIE Fighters now. Just like the soon to be Imperial Troop Transports.

My thought is Hasbro is killing it's own line on purpose with this over priced stuff trying to scam their once loyal fan base just to say "it didn't sell" and end it. Only logical thought unless they are legit monkeys running the SW line.

Still can't believe the same people made that Jabba Barge. Was that a dream? Whatever happened to fan funded stuff anyways.

I also think this is true as well. It does seem like they're trying to kill it. I just don't get the logic behind an $89 Tie Fighter, $100 X-Wing and a $150 Slave 1. That used to be reserved for the BIG vehicle/playsets like the Falcon and AT-AT, not the smaller ships. I can see a price hike with all new vehicles like the Imperial Troop transport or the Imperial assault vehicle, but not these older molds that have been in existence since the 90s and 2000s. Get real.

It's just going to turn off collectors and retailers alike.

Yeah I couldn't believe it. They're awesome.

Then that 90s cartoon Spider-Man on the retro cardback. He looks fantastic!

Snowspeeder and Luke & Dack look amazing but, sorry, I aint touching another scale of Star Wars toy. I've put far too much time and money into 3.75.

Yup, that's how I feel. The 6-inch stuff has finally really hit its stride but I just have no interest in going down that path. That's why they try and charge an arm and a leg for the 3 3/4 vehicles because of all the people who refuse to make the switch. Shame.

That 90 Spiderman is awesome as is that amazing classic Storm.

Definitely picking up Jackman Wolverine and PX.

Ok back to crappy SW lol

Where are all the Marvel Legends reveals? When I go to the Marvel Legends thread on this site it's just some thing called "Outback Hulk" and then people posting a bunch of pictures in schoolgirl figures doing the splits and things, lol.

EDIT: Nevermind I found them on Google. Wow those 60's comic Spidey figures are awesome.

I foresee 2 scenarios with the whole 6'' thing. Either you'll never get the character diversity at 6'' as there is at 3.75'' which is a bad thing if you care about having a broad range from this huge universe - or worse than that - what if they actually do go that far? What if they do get to making third alien from the left in the back row and Willrow Hood. Before you know it you're in this game another decade when really you should be winding it down or you should have stopped long ago. The way I see it by sticking with 3.75 exclusively I benefit from the former while averting the latter. If 3.75'' really is dying then my Star Wars collecting is almost done and I can live with that.

Similar to you though I'll be getting rid of a lot of stuff and cutting back to (Hasbro's current favourite word) 'premium' stuff - only the most up-to-date vehicles and figures (unless up-to-date versions don't currently exist). I've already got multiple boxes of old vehicles and junky figures ready to sell/pawn or give away locally and I may have to add more once I get my shelves bought and assembled and I can finally get the lay of the land as to what space I even have.

But this Slave One looks like it lives up to the premium label to me so this is likely one I'd keep while ditching the POTF2 version, Jango's Slave One etc.

If they were able to develop a prototype of a fully animated and talking Baby Yoda in two months then there's no excuse to not have a full line of things that *weren't* hidden before the show aired like blurrgs, Mando on dewback, Razor Crest, IG-11, and so on in 3.75 inch scale.

And don't even get me started on TROS offerings (mostly because I know you all hate it, lol.)

I love how close 'TROS' is to 'dross' :monkey3

I truly think 6 inch will have the depth of 3.75 and do it in a shorter time.

We almost got Willrow Hooh in the recent fan vote for example.

6 inch has recieved legacy characters like Tarkin in far shorter time than it took 3.75 to. 6 inch had already built up the vast majority of the original Vintage run in less time. The only reason it wasn't completed already is there are 10 other films and 5 other tv shows to pull from.

Ultimately if 6 inch ends up lacking the OT depth itll make up for it in saga depth pulling from all media.

The only figures I don't ever see coming to 6 inch are unique figures like the concept art figures or older EU stuff that's not integrated into Disney Era canon. Stuff like that.

Vehicles will probably, definitely lack depth. But at the same time I see us getting core stuff like an X Wing, Tie Fighter and other similarly sized or smaller vehicles. There will never be a 6 inch sail barge. There MIGHT not be a 6 inch scale haslab Millennium Falcon. But X wings, tie fighters, speeders, chicken walkers, etc? Yes that'll happen.

And they're gonna run out of core characters/costumes to make soon

Bring it all on.

Yup, Luke was just shown and looks amazing.

Whoa. So glad I got the Han TaunTaun now. Awesome display combo.

Snowspeeder and Luke & Dack look amazing but, sorry, I aint touching another scale of Star Wars toy. I've put far too much time and money into 3.75.

I was the same way - I think I only have maybe 6 or 7 figs, all Imperial troopers (plus white Boba,) plus the Taun, speeder bike and Jabba (only because all three were about 50% off.) I've been really good with 6".

And it has been easier to resist this line because many figs (Bossk, IG and Zuckuss, quite a few others) came out weird looking, plus they sometimes have that "undies" look to the crotch area and I don't get why they need those visible pins/holes/joints on the legs when the 3 3/4" versions don't have it and have similar articulation. But... some of these figs are coming out really, really nice now - and they just had to take to Hoth. I assume there'll be a Hoth rebel soldier, then I'm done - multiples time.

And re: other scales, I'm 90% focused on 1/6, and do still have a fair amount of 3 3/4" from years ago, but you can have limited love for other lines - I love my "Unleashed" (2 1/2" tall) Hoth stuff and really enjoy the 6" stuff. You just have to be super disciplined.

Where dafuq am I putting a 6 inch scale SS lol

6 inch Hoth Rebel soldier was shown today too. He has two different faces to swap between, scarf and goggles. So you can mix and match the parts to make different unique soldiers for army building

If they ever make a Haslab AtAt to go with this SS I swear I will recreate the tow cable scene smack in the middle of my living room fake snow and all lol

Wait why is the 6 inch SS cheaper than the 3.75 S1 :rotfl
