Re: 3.75" Collecting Thread

Whoa. So glad I got the Han TaunTaun now. Awesome display combo.

I was the same way - I think I only have maybe 6 or 7 figs, all Imperial troopers (plus white Boba,) plus the Taun, speeder bike and Jabba (only because all three were about 50% off.) I've been really good with 6".

And it has been easier to resist this line because many figs (Bossk, IG and Zuckuss, quite a few others) came out weird looking, plus they sometimes have that "undies" look to the crotch area and I don't get why they need those visible pins/holes/joints on the legs when the 3 3/4" versions don't have it and have similar articulation. But... some of these figs are coming out really, really nice now - and they just had to take to Hoth. I assume there'll be a Hoth rebel soldier, then I'm done - multiples time.

And re: other scales, I'm 90% focused on 1/6, and do still have a fair amount of 3 3/4" from years ago, but you can have limited love for other lines - I love my "Unleashed" (2 1/2" tall) Hoth stuff and really enjoy the 6" stuff. You just have to be super disciplined.

Well that's the real trick isn't it....

Re: 3.75" Collecting Thread

If they ever make a Haslab AtAt to go with this SS I swear I will recreate the tow cable scene smack in the middle of my living room fake snow and all lol

Wait why is the 6 inch SS cheaper than the 3.75 S1 :rotfl

That's the complaint tax. It goes up every time someone complains about 3.75 lol

That's what I'm saying bro.

Snowspeeder is a brand spanking, all new tool WITH an ALL NEW figure. Has way more sculpting and detail than the Slave 1.

And it's for a bigger scale.

But nah, the older vehicle from 2010 with the sticker details you gotta add costs more. Makes no ****ing sense.

HEY A-DEV.

You have $150 in spending money. With it you have these options.

Option A: Six all new, 6" action figures that you've never experienced or played with before. $150

ESB black series.jpg

Option B: An all new vehicle with two new 6" action figures. $150

ESB black series 2.jpg

Option C: Repainted vehicle that was originally in a battle pack 10 years ago. $150

ESB black series 3.jpg

Which option would give lil A-Dev the most fulfilling Star Wars toy experience? What would make him feel like a kid again?

I don't like the crotch areas of the 6 inch figures. They look weird. Bespin Luke looks like he has a jock strap over his pants.
And they still couldn't get the AT-AT Driver's mask right. Look how far apart the eyes are compared to the real thing.

But that Snowspeeder/Pilot Luke set is indeed a thing of beauty. The outfit even hides the goofy crotch.

DiFabio has always been a great compiler of information. DiFabio the Compiler.

Those figures all look good. Nicely presented. I'm wondering about that Probe Droid admittedly. I wonder would it be wrong to use that with the 3.75'' figures....I mean Hasbro always underscales even things that wouldn't technically need to be underscaled so I bet their Probe Droid that's actually intended for the 3.75'' line is too small...right? Right?

The other ones though, great as they look. Damn slippery slope.

I got out of this years ago, Black Series is just a spectator sport for me now. So that being said...

That's a killer figure. Let down a bit by the finish of the plastic but that's the price point. Their X-Wing Luke was one of my favourites back in the day.

It's a very cool looking little rendition and you may well be right about the scale, since at a glance I thought it may be under in the 6-inch realm. Given that I own the SSC which is damn near perfect (go figure) I don't see myself needing something like this, although it'd be a fun desktop toy.
