This has got to be some of the greatest man baby sooking in some time. JTA have long been the leaders in self entitlement and claiming to be the authority on what Star Wars toy collecting should be but this is one of their best efforts.

No wonder Hasbro can't be bothered putting so much effort into the VTC when you get this kind of instant feedback.

Ugh. That place is a reason not to collect 3 3/4. :lol I guess they serve an important role as the annoying activist segment of the audience.

Just ordered a batch of figures that come out in the fall -- K2, Death Trooper, Gonk, Stormie Luke, and another I'm now forgetting. I sometimes wonder if I should bow out of 3 3/4 figures and just focus on the vehicles, but figure it might be cool to have a carded TVC figure for each of my HT figures on display.

Yup. Pauls delusions of grandeur are always entertaining lol. Didn't you notice that for a long time they were only doing retrospective reviews and articles? How they weren't covering toy fair, comic con, etc? Paul lost all his sponsorships, contacts and business invites.

BBTS even wrote up a whole Twitter post publicly announcing how they dropped JTA when it happened.

So for a while JTA had absolutely no new content. No sponsors. Nothing. Theyve gained some new ones since. But notice how Paul never covers the industry events anymore. Now if someone else om the site doesn't pick up the slack in a reactionary way after the news has been made public elsewhere, they don't cover it at all.

Didn't you notice how JTA was completely left out of the recent Black Series Archive fan vote? How they don't get PR packages of new figures anymore?

They're dead in the water now for the most part. I always laugh when he pretends he still has pull with Hasbro.

I must admit I didn't pick up on any of that. I am not into the Hasbro scene much these days so only keep a passing interest on all the small details. For site owners that put their own personality and spin on it have always preferred people like Adam Pawlus who can critique Hasbro without it coming across as a whinge or part of a personal agenda/ego boost.

But your right they are slow on the news front these days and yes the event coverage is always a step back from the main action. Well couldn't of happened to nicer guy!

General Calrissian isn't a half bad figure

He won’t be able to hold his blaster nearly as well as the RO Stormtrooper too. :(

Weird to see Hasbro going backwards when they have a superior Stormtrooper mold readily available.

But this body is more accurate to the OT trooper costume it’s meant to represent. I don’t have the new R1 sculpt so I’m going by photos but, while it looks like a great figure, it’s very obviously a R1 suit and NOT an OT trooper.

So, how long until Hasbro rerelease the Khetanna - and how much is it likely to cost? I mean, surely they’ll rerelease it at some point, right?

Yeah, I?ll give you that. Would have been a lot cooler if they re-tooled. [emoji6]

pretty much the one used for the Luke and Han in stormie - when opened, it can look decent. But, yes - definitely more of the OT look. The RO is amazing, and its dead-on to that costume - that said, all they need to do is some easy adjustments to that sculpt. Definitely the better of the two for sure.

Yeah there was a clause in the Haslab talking about how they reserve the right to send it to stores at any time.

I imagine if/when they do, it won't come with the carded yak figure or the other bonuses (like the booklet). I could see them keeping it at $500 or lowering it to $400.

No way would it ever go lower. I’d be surprised if they ever rereleased it to begin with, but it wouldn’t have that ‘minimum cost’ price of the Haslab. It would probably be closer to $700. $500 was the lowest Hasbro could go on this to make it worth their time. To do it again, that margin would have to go up I think. The thing is a beast and $100 of every one of those likely went into shipping alone.Once you involve retailers (a middle man) cost start doubling. I thing like the Flagg this was a once in a lifetime production.

It could be lower or at least the same price because they hit the minimum number sold (and then some) to make the production run worth it. The mold, tooling, research and development that went into it has been paid for. Anything else now is simply a return on that investment. Being that there was no middle-man previously, every dollar made beyond recouping that was 100% profit. So now they're free to tweak it and throw it back out into the market to make more money.

I don't think it'll be lower myself. But I also don't think it'll be higher either. They'll sell it to retailers at wholesale, make more money and give retails the chance to make money on it the same as they would with any other star wars product.
