360 Vs. PS3

So anyway I had a friend of mine today who owns a 360, say that he thinks the novelty of the wii will wear off and the PS3 will eventually beat the 360 this gen, I said...you are a smart man. It's like waking up in the matrix and seeing the world for the first time.

...and then finding out it sucks so bad it makes people want to go back to the virtual world and forget the real one ever existed....

Yea no problem, with all the research you must have done to look that up in your conclusions that the PS3 is a POS, i would have thought you would have run across blu-ray by now, I mean it did beat out that POS high def format that microsoft was backing? What was that one called again, it's been so long I forgot?

i honestly love both of my systems. they both have issues of their own and they both have areas where they succeed. I think the only thing that the x-box has a true advantage in is x-box live and the way that they have set up online play without making some areas needlessly complicated. though thats the kind of service you can get when you pay for something as compared to the ps3 that is free. other then that i think that both systems are about equal in most other aspects maybe with one slightly winning over the other or vice versa.

I own both system and have t agree with Rabbid Wolverine. Both system are basically the same even though I believe Sony machine is technically a bit more powerful, but what good is that if developers are not using it. I give the XBOX360 the edge right now because of the wonderful Live service and achievement system. XBOX just feels more of a GAMERS machine then rather a just a high end audio/visiual equipment.

Advantage.... XBOX360.... at least for now until sony "up's it game" in the gaming and social department.

i also read that the ps3 is coming out with something of the equivalent of achievements. thats my favorite part of the 360 i constantly feel like im striving to complete something, i have all my cod4 achievements, and all on army of two, all but one on gears and im working right now on the major 100% completion one on gta4 before i move on to the multiplayer ones.

Let's see being how betamax had better quality video, yet people didn't want to pay for it...who cared about video back then right? Ignorant fools.

UMD movies are awesome, I don't really know if you own a PSP or not but nothing beats owning your favorite movies on the go, very useful, and a great format...go stick your head in the sand again.

I tried that route before and I said WHY I thought the 360 was a better system, but he still refuses to accept that some people have a different point of view than he does w/o calling them 360 fanboy's or whatever else. So I just decided to call him names and make fun of him.

I didn't get involved until you were already being a douche bag. I actually tried being civil with you at one point, but you're not having it so the insults were the obvious way to go.

And you're wrong that the 360 buyers feel regret. Sure, there are bound to be some just as there are bound to be some PS3 owners who feel the same way. you refuse to see both sides of the argument. You're ALL and ONLY PS3 where most of us here own and use both systems, but you won't listen.

Cons: Hardware failure rate is HUGE issue, made by Microsoft, does not play high-def movies, need to actually pay for online, again made by Micro^^^^^. Halo, the most overrated series ever.

PS3:
Pros: Blu-ray player, plays PSX, PS2, and PS3 games. Upscales old PSX, PS2, and DVDs. Online is free, hardware is more reliable since it is made by Sony. Has MGS4, Tekken, Killzone, Gran Turismo, God of War, Twisted Metal and others among Naughty Dog and Insomniac, two of the best game developers out there.
Cons: None.

Basically it always boils down to this simple concept: Import always better than domestic. It applies to cars, it applies to beer, and it applies to video games.
