I would agree that Inglorious Basterds was darned entertaining film and deserved more recognition. But I was happy that it got supporting actor.

Had it come out in a year that wasn't so loaded with great films, I'm sure it would've won for best picture. Definitely one of my favorites of last year.

Psst. 3D fights piracy. Don't expect it to go away too soon.

Psst. I was being sarcastic, I fully expect 3D to inundate us like it or not; the studios won't pass on this ticket price explosion.

The ticket price is great, but not as great as all the free interweb copies it prevents.

Besides, I don't get why people complain about something that makes movies look even cooler.

How else would they have given the Wild Things so much emotion? I think they did a fantastic job with the CGI and thought it worked flawlessly with the suits.

I really thought it looked out of place but that's just me. I think the CG could have been done better, but I would have loved to see them use old school animatronics for most of it.

Because I fully expect it to become even more of a gag than it already is; Avatar was successful in using 3D tastefully, I am thinking of Monsters vs. Aliens, G-Force, ad nauseum.

Where the Wild Things Are had better facial CG.

The facial CG was great in WTWTA but that was fluffy cartoon like creatures. What has always been a fail up until now has been making animated human faces that are not creepy (see: Polar Express :horror). Cameron's new face motion capture camera has done something truly amazing and unprecidented. Animated humans/humaoids look real.

I don't know - TO ME the Na'vi don't look real at all, and not because they are blue. They just looked way too "smooth" and rubbery. And yes, I understand the arguments about them being younger and not showing wear-and-tear as much, etc.

I can honeslty say that the Academy was pretty spot on with their choices. All that mattered to me last night was that Christoph Waltz won and he did.

The only thing I could dissagree on was the best screenplay award. QT's IB should have won that hands down. Just consider all the mixed language and unique dialogue that went into that script.

Bummer imo.

Oh and Martin/Baldwin had me almost in tears last night :lol

The navi looked ridiculous.

I seen Avatar in IMAX 3D, But I really wanna see it in Blu-Ray. I'm not a tech person, but it seems my HDTV is alot clearer and brighter. I dont know if the glasses gave it alittle "haze" but I do Imagine this film will look spectacular on Bluray.

I didn't really care which film won, for me it was hard to say what was the best. I was blown away by Star Trek and I'm not even a trekkie. District 9 started slow for me but turned out to be awesome.

Inglourious Bastards was a great film. It had so many great scenes, from the opening scene that felt like a throw back to me, and the countless others. Thinking about that, it probably should of won best director and film, but I still haven't seen The Hurt Locker, I just hope it lives up to the "new" hype.
