I honestly can't even begin to imagine Hot Toys getting the head sculpt this right.

Point taken, and I do expect HT to do a great job on this, but again due to whether their deadlines or simple lack of attention to detail that a custom sculptor with Adams talent can provide, I don't expect their effort to match Adams - lets see what they come up with

Judging by this latest announcement, I highly doubt Hot Toys will disappoint with their headsculpt or headsculpts. No one can say for sure which one will be better considering HT probably hasn't even started on it yet.

I'm sure they paid GOOD money to get Nicholson's likeness license, as well as the whole '89 gig. I doubt they slack off and waste their hard earned $$$.

I'm no Hot Toys loyalist but they have improved with each new release. By the time they come out, Joker and Batman should be amazing.

Anyway, I don't think I ever commented in here before. That is an EXCELLENT custom sculpt, you've really brought out Jack Joker's main features.

I would have bought it but it's a little too rich for my blood. Not that I couldn't afford it, I just wouldn't feel comfortable throwing down that much cash on a head. But, taking into account the materials, tools and time needed to produce each head, as well as paint them, I'm positive the price you have is the amount it cost for quality, no doubt about that.

I could tell he was in awe and nearly fainted in the HT thread.


It's not a dig at Adam's sculpt, as you can see I clearly stated in an old post that I thought his portrait was fantastic. My post above was just playfully digging at Void and Maglor. If it offends them when they see it, I'll delete my post.

I wanna see how they feel first though. If I bought this one, I'd just keep it (that is if I felt Hot Toys was better, er, which I do). You can never have too many Jokers, especially ones that look as good as these two.

No doubt HTs sculpt is unbelievably good! What is most impressive is the texture and paint on top of a fine sculpt

I've maintained that Song Hye Hyun is HTs best sculptor and it has been proven again. Kojun, Arnie or Yulli frankly are not on this level IMO. I expected one of those to be doing this head due to their reputations but HT has seen sense with this one! Happy to be proved wrong

Whether this sculpt is better than Adams I can't say - will have to compare both in hand. But it is an incredible sculpt that is for sure.

But certainly the full package with paint from HT looks better than any completed jack head I've seen

Really keen to see the hair under that hat

I'll probably buy two of these, one to pose with the trench and HT head

The other with Adams head with the normal coat - thankfully the expressions are different!

I haven't had time to process which is "better". There is no denying that the HT head is spectacular and that it's an incredible figure.
