Whats the beef? Its just a humorous 1 off to make some money... a pretty funny one too. And at least as a raffle everyone there has an equal shot as opposed to whoever has the most dough.

Exactly!!! :chew

I wasnt actually upset about the bust at all. I just was making a point about it being a raffle. I think its funny that the company has went exclusive and raffle happy. I hope it raises alot of money for charity.

Like I said, at least it's going to a good cause. I'm not bashing the fact that it's helping raise money for Cancer Research. I just think the bust looks dumb.

Which is perfect as a 1 of a kind bust to raise money for charity. No one gets upset at missing a "real" bust in the line, and a lot of people will enter the raffle because they either really want it in their collection, or figure it will bring big bucks on eBay if they won it. Win-win for everyone!

But this is a totally different kind of raffle. It isn't like the lame Premiere Guild raffles, where people pay the company money just for the "privilege" of entering. I really think there is no comparison. Charity raffles are nothing new, and certainly nothing to scoff at.

So, you'd rather they made a killer bust that EVERYONE wanted as a one-off for charity? I would much rather have them do something a bit goofy like this bust for this type of event.

I don't mean to be redundant, but I'm curious why there's a wee bit of hostility about this piece? Is simply based on the edition size of 1 or is it something else directed at Stormtrooper Elvis? Just my morbid curiosity.

Also, at last year's con, if memory serves me, GG had a raffle where the winner would be cast as their own mini-bust. I would imagine that edition size would be set at 1 as well. What's the difference between that and this piece? Especially with the money going to a good cause...?

When I saw this I thought it was a joke thread until I started reading the replies. :lol

They sure did, there were random tickets to go and get a scan done in the Shocktrooper busts; and then one lucky sap had a bust made of themself.

:clap

BTW I have heard reports that not only do you get this bust but you also get the Holiday Gift Sandtrooper bust and the Blackhole Trooper bust if you win the raffle. Now that is one heck of a combination. Thats about 1500 dollars worth of bust.

*blinks*

Whoa. I actually know the guy in person. Kenny never told me they made a mini bust of him.

I did not read all of the replies.

But do SW fans really want a Elvis impersonator in a stormy suit? If this is for charity, you want to get in as many draws as possible. Why not a Clone bust platted in gold, and silver?

Oh well...
