I'd think there's just about a zero percent chance of seeing this...

Howard: ...As for Iron Monger, it was always a case of cost issues and pricing, as you know it is a very large figure in 1/6 scale so to really do it justice and yet making it a price that will still be supported by the dealers and customers remain the greatest challenge.

Personally I want to see this made! But now given that Iron Man 2 the movie will be released soon and we are already committed to making a few characters from the new movie.

Sounds as if they've looked into it, decided not to do it but have yet to bury it all the way...

This and the 1/6 Alien Queen wont be happening anytime soon, and that makes me sad....:monkey2

I always get sad too when I see this or the 1/6 Queen thread get bumped, long forgotten dreams....:monkey2

Yeah but this is Hot Toys not Sideshow. They made the Power Loader, ED-209, the Tumbler and Batpod all in 1:6 so if Howard Chan says they are working on a 1:6 Iron Monger I believe him.

Look I'd be the first to gush over a well done Iron Monger but he didn't say they are working on him he said "its in their development plan". That could mean anything from "I'd be nice to do this one" to "There is a prototype we are working on". I guarantee you that it was in their development plan with Iron Man 1 as well. Folks shouldn't get their hopes up this is Marvel's version of the 1:6 Alien Queen.

if they can go back and do Matrix stuff, Iron Monger is still a possibility, but not holding my breath on it.

not to mention, Hot Toys started with AVP preds then went back to do Pred 1 and 2. HT is tricky. Unpredictable.

I was under the impression as were many collectors that the reason they did AvP first is because they had the license and as they aquired the licenses for Predator 1 and 2 they went into that realm. It isn't exactly unpredictable as a measure of business negotiations. This isn't exactly the case as they've had full rights to the Iron Man license from the go and it isn't like they are trying to go back to do something from a completely different time.

I think they are seriously considering this. Since a 1/6 iron monger would no doubt sell better in the market compared to say, alien queen or robocain.

as a design, i prefer robocain over iron monger. a ht version would be so wicked. i'd pay any amount (up to $300!) for one. :D

doubt any of these would happen though.
