A New Hope Han!!!!

I just thought of the most badass exclusive they could give, but also most expensive that will never happen; ANH SE Edition Jabba the Hutt I'm sure most of you could care less about that one for a multitude of reasons, some of which I'd agree with, but I love the fat guy

I think a cool and quite possible exclusive would be a Stormtrooper utility belt.

Sideshow has already stated that an exclusive item will be items specific to that character and will not be used on any other figure. So parts like Stormtrooper belts, stormtrooper blasters, Yavin Medals and such are out of the question as exclusive items, but can still be included as regular accessories. I think gloved hands, the coin he flipped to Wuher, things like that, that ONLY Han used, are good guesses.

I am excited about this figure (of course, I get excited about EVERY SW 1:6 scale figure that SS does). Likeness is plenty good enough, don't care if the shirt is off-white or pure white, don't care if the shirt makes the vest bulge a little.

What I care most about is that Sideshow starts sending me figures with MANY fewer quality issues like crooked blaste barrels, crooked lightsabers, arms that have joints glued frozen, and other similar issues. I know I can send them back...but I would have had to send back about 40% of the figures I have bought from them (and I have bought a lot of them).

Edit - And by the way...I am definitely with abstactharmony wanting Agen Kolar (or Eeth Koth) as the next figure! (yeah, I know...figure the odds)

Happy to see this on the horizon as I can forget about my kitbashed ANH Han (from Captain Faramir's Bespin Han) and now I'll happily have a Bespin, trenchcoat wearing Endor, and ANH Han to display.

Who thinks (and I apologize if it's been mentioned already but I wasn't staying up last night to read through twenty odd pages where half are the usual moaning of people who should just give up collecting already) that we'll see a Greedo in the Scum and Villainy line within the next few months to partner up with Han?... Or dare we wish it---:chew

Here is my attempt to fix the washed out look they gave the sculpt. I can't wait to see more pics! Hopefully they will be lit better!

I have just tried to add some shadow to the thing, and darken the eyes. I really do think this is an A+ sculpt, just lit badly.

Who here thinks that maybe Sideshow will do a Ceremony Han version with the white Rebel Fleet Trooper style shirt and medal for SDCC this year? We got Ceremony Luke last year?

I too think we'll get a Stormtrooper belt and blaster. Maybe the gloves, rag and maybe the headset for the exclusive. I say MAYBE for the headset since I don't know how it would fit on the head with all of that hair. You would almost need a new sculpt for the hair.

First and foremost, thanks to Trev for this great sculpt. With each figure that comes out, my enjoyment of this line grows. This looks like Han from ANH to me, I just needed to see the eyes retouched in photoshop. Something about those green/blue eyes was far too jarring. Thanks to Maulfan for the retouch, this looks like a great Han!

Nice touch-up Brinn 71 - I think it makes the figure look to me to have a very good sculpt with some very minor paint app issues. But then, I am the guy who really doesn't care if my action figures look like the actor. So I guess that likely precludes me from being an expert on the subject.

I think I would like to see this Figure get one of the reward crates and Chewie get another, different one when he comes out.

Face sculpts looks decent to me so far. Not as wow as Obi-Wan, not as bad as the first Han.

I'm not happy they went the same method on the pockets as the last Han though. There has to be a better way than simply putting two puffs of fabric over each other.

I was just watching ANH the other day and thinking of all the things a Han could come with.

Bare bones figure should cost $50.

A figure with additional gloved hands, stormtrooper belt, headset microphone, etc could be $5-$10 more.

It also seems like a good opportunity to do both. Offer the bare bones figure at $50 and an expansion pack for $15 or so that included all those extras plus something big and tangible like an extra head or the money crates or even the chair he sat in while watching Luke train with Obi-Wan. All kinds of stuff.

For a sculptor of any of the major companies, Trev is one of the most talkative with this community, he and Andy Berholtz are active participants, and considering that they've got all the sculpting they need to do, their post counts aren't as high as those of us with lives consisting of toys and internet chat rooms, but they're high for people busy at work all the time. I'd bet Trev's got half a dozen projects going at any point, at least. And of course there will be exaggeration, because we love the sculpt work Trev does and we're greatful for any chance to talk with him around here, he's a standup guy.

Why because,Im critical thinker,and dont conform to the majority of the StarWars forums beliefs.

Sorry dude, ANH Jabba would be an extreme waste of time and money on all involved.

Both the original SE and DVD SE versions look atrocious.

There are other oversized/abnormal sculpts to go to instead. I'd take a Dexter before a SE Jabba.

I think the figure looks terrific so far, and the sculpt from the first Han is quite improved. He'll be a great addition.

I'll admit,it is a great sculpt,although I should wait to see the production sculpt to really follow through with that comment,I just dont understand the need for another Han,when there's no Vader or Stormtrooper?
