I'll pass on the figure. Either I'll order Leia Boushh or I'll save for the PF and try finding it for a good price.

What would you like the exclusive to be? They could have done the droid, but that COULD take away from Vader. They could have done the blaster but then folks would have *****ed like school girls. This is something that can be grabbed if wanted and passed if not.

As far as lesser quality. Well, that's all the opinion of the person buying the figure.

I was just stating that the exclusive sucked. It has nothing to do with SS's choice, I can't think of anything better either. I'm glad because if I do get this, I can get it cheaper through a retailer just like the other Leia.

And if anyone thinks that a 12" can compare to a PF in quality is absolutely fooling themselves. It's not even close, not even a comparison is worth making. Especially with the great sculpt on the PF Leia.

Jeezus! You guys are impossible to please! Andy did a great job! It's a fine likeness, and the costume was always meant to be a very simple one. The paintwork on the prototype is good enough to get the point across.

Andy is one of the best sculptors in the business, and I can't wait to own another fine example of his work. I'm sure Darren will make some marvelous adjustments to the sculpt, and I look forward to seeing his revisions, but the figure, as it is now, is wonderful, and well worth my money.

I love the accessories, all very well chosen. Seriously, did anyone really expect to see the data tape for the Death Star plans? And it's even got a little imperial insignia on it. She's got absolutely everything needed to recreat any scene in ANH (post Celebration). She's defnitive!

I don't see how comparing her to the PF is helpful. They are two completely different animals. You may as well start comparing Darth Maul to his 1:1 counterpart.

I'm glad to be getting a beautiful Princess and not a monkey-face.

I think the 1/6 Maul sculpt is much better than the PF Maul, actually.

Anyway, if it's official that Andy sculpted this then I will give it the benefit of the doubt until I see actual production pics. He has never let me down with any of his sculpts (it's the factory paint apps that have been another story at times).

Yup, there are some that no matter what they do they will never be pleased. For whatever reason be it a jones for another company they think is god or they just can't quit *****ing. Other than the one real close up head shot it looks fine.

I realize what HA did on his photoshop bit was a rough one but I see NO improvement. She actually looks fat in that pic and Leia was no chunky chick. I think Mikey will agree with me in that honestly I don't see why people who customize figures really get upset. They're gonna change it when they get the figure. It will never be perfect for them unless they can do something to it. So I don't get why they get bothered by it.

Then you're not looking. Also, Leia had very chubby cheeks in ANH.

I don't think it's a bad sculpt al all. I like it, but it could have been better.

I'm not taking anything away from the 12" line, I love it and have every SW 12" so far. But to compare the quality to the PF line is just insane.

IMO they're equal in terms of quality. That's how I can say it. They're as high a quality item as the PF are IMO. I'm sorry that for whatever reason people think I'm wrong. I'm just saying my view. I don't feel when I'm getting my a lower quality item. When I get a PF I just feel I'm getting a bigger version that's equally as nice.

I agree... Until they go back in time (which scientists now say is an impossibilty--- they need to talk to Doc Brown and Marty McFly) and grab Carrie Fisher on her way to the set---shrink her with their magical shrink ray and bring her to the present encased in a nice package people will always find something to pick at. Not that that's a bad thing, there's always room for improvement; however, take any of your Hasbro 12" and put it next to its SS counterpart and tell me that SS aren't doing a phenomenal job. Yes the sculpt can be better---- well that's what custamizers live for. Personally I'll pre-order the exclusive happily on Friday (hopefully the PF Leia I recently acquired will arrive soon so that I can have that until the 12" one is delivered---- near Christmas do you think? August?) and wait IMpatiently for her to arrive so that I can start to pose her in some iconic ANH scenes.

Thank you to everyone who will not be ordering. There are many others who wil happily take your spot. And that's what collecting should be. Buy what you like--- celebrate what is announced... Say "no thanks" to what isn't your cup of tea.
