The Comic version is much more of a pragmatist, which while it adds more layers to the character, it makes him a bit too borderline evil in some people's eyes. Personally, I prefer the old comic version, specifically Fraction's take. He was a deep and complex character that was worth reading about. Now, he's just RDJ in print form, and while I like RDJ, his take should stay in the movies. It just can't be translated in the comic medium, and it comes off looking a bit too "hammered".
