Not if the movie company knows they are gonna merchandise that movie to high heaven like Star Wars.

Actors likeness is included in those contracts right? So they don't get final say or approval, the studio does.

Nah, apparently the sticking point until now has been the likeness rights have expired. That's probably why Hot Toys only ever did a Sentinel, and threezero has only (so far) revealed an APU (with very generic-looking Mifune).

But Neo would have to be the most bootlegged figure of modern times. The studio would have to know how much money they're missing out on.

Most time isn't the studio refusing but the actor and actress. Imagine yourself being made into a collectable so realistic, some celebrity doesn't like that. Liam Neeson, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise etc

Did Threezero ever officially announce Matrix figures? If this company is trying to get likeness rights without actually having the license yet, I'd say Neo is on hold indefinitely.

Been too long.

If ThreeZero is also going after this, I'd say they have a better chance. But who knows, Asmus and ACI both got LOTR for certain figures.

I'd be very happy if one does Morpheus and one does Neo.

I'm in the process of bashing a Smith, so I'd be irritated if one was announced... But I'd still replace it with an official one.

Licensed or unlicensed Neo, I don't really care which if it looks good.

Whoa.

Looks pretty good, is this finally happening? Could you post pics for those of us that aren't on Facebook?
