Abomination PF - epic cancellations?

the people saying it's overpriced have obviously not seen this in person, this is a massive statue and is larger than the Hulk or the thing or just about any other Marvel statue to date.

We are eating a mojor portion of the shipping on this item. the fact that we will ship it for $40.00 domestically is a pretty big deal. For us to ship within the state of California (where we're based) costs over $120.00.

Dosen't matter how big the sculpt is, $500 is a lot of money for collectors to fork over for any sculpt. I've said repeatedly that the sculpt looks great and i would love to have it but a 65% increase in price over Hulk, Thing and Thor has kept a lot of would be collectors from pulling the trigger and buying this.

If you don't want to buy this particular item because of the character that it is, then that's your prerogative. But size does matter when pricing an item.

I saw this in person the other day and it is big. The detail is there with what you come to expect from Sideshow.

You really have to love Abomination to get this. It's hard to display also because it is wide. This is not a purchase to take lightly if you are undecided. Getting rid of it would be a hassle. The bright blue shorts also is another minus for this piece when at $500 you expect a definitive version of the character. Unlike Cap PF or Hulk PF I can't say this is it.

In my mind this piece is sort of like Namor comiquette but more expensive: it's cool and all but there is just something that doesn't push me over the fence to buy it even ignoring all the other factors mentioned above.

One reason why I would never get this is because if I did decide I wanted to sell it later, it would probably have to be a local pickup only. Good luck finding a local buyer with similar interests. I think this thing's box exceeds size restrictions for both USPS and UPS. But SS is shipping them out, so maybe they are paying "freight" rates, which aren't cheap.

I dont know what the problem is? beside the cost and size. This piece is an awesome piece if you have a chance to see it in person.

totally man, i was all in a bother about spending this much on him until i saw him in person. though i'm sure this will be cheap on the secondary market, i'm glad i got him now.

a) I am glad I bought it. It looks fantastic by the Hulk and Thing.
b) Yes, the price was more than I thought it would be, but then again, I am sure SS saved me at least $100 on shipping.
c) Base is pretty big on it, but then again it is Abomination.
d) It truly is an excellent sculpt.

Yup, I am glad I bought it. Once the two new hulks come out from SS, this piece will make them look even more amazing then they do now.

yeah he has a rather large footprint i don't think there's a curio cabinet made that will house this sucka. sadly yet another reason why he's already lowered himself to Thing status.

this main thing is size, even if you own the hulk its the amount to room to display both. And the floor is not an option. hahaha... Its a very impressive piece i saw it at comic con.

yeah, its a bad ass statue...One of Bowen's best IMO.
