I feel uncertain about sculpt paint.
I already preordered, so no choice. Hoped for improvement, but not sure from these pictures.

It looks decent but it is still so hard to tell! I am eager for someone to take really nice photos of it.

It's a nice head sculpt but it looks nothing like Viggo.

Hair is ok but like the sculpt. To really see it put your finger and thumb together making a circle and hold that over the face, really it helps to see the likeness.

That's cool. I am calm and happy now. Viggo is certainly there. Dean makes perfect sculpts, and ACI softened the paint, which is good.
If you work on his hair a bit it could look quite decent.

There is always the possibility of swapping in the Asmus head if desired. I imagine the tailoring on this one will be better, but I could be wrong.

Yeah that last photo has raised my eyebrow. The hair needs futzing but it looks like Viggo as Aragorn to me. Costume looks fantastic as well.

For a toy making company they really need to work on their photo skills lol. I think under ideal lighting this thing will look really nice.

The top of the hair and forehead needs attention but I think the sculpt is great. For comparison to the sculpt, I've posted pics from Fellowship as I think this figure is primarily based on his look from that film.

The chin, facial hair, nose, mouth and eyes all look pretty good. His high forehead seems to work. Not sure about the eyebrows and I can't quite tell if it has the scar above his lip.

Looks like you can have him looking like Bree Strider/Moria Aragorn, post Lorien Aragorn (with cloak, broach and hunting knife) and Pelennor Fields Aragorn with Anduril.

I think if a 1/6 chain mail vest exists, then you could make him look like Helm's Deep Aragorn.

Yeah, I think the hair can be sorted.

He takes off his tunic/jacket thing and wears a chain mail vest.

I agree with some styling gel the hair should look pretty good. It does look to be a thicker gauge than the prototype that was shown earlier but one of the realities of mass production. Still waiting for some actual in hand before pulling the trigger.

I think all it needs is styling the hair and you'll have the best Aragorn.
