Just payed my Hobby-Galaxy invoice for Ex. Looks like this guy may finally be inbound to the US.

I know I need to cut the hair but I'm a'scurred to do it.
I wouldn't cut it at all and don't think it's necessary. Clipper King's looked fantastic with just styling and considering what this figure is going for on the aftermarket, I wouldn't 'mod' it at all (I get the plan isn't to sell right now but collections tend to change over time, even if one still likes the figure). I know that would be a deal breaker for me in regards to buying one.

I hear you. I don't like modding my figures either. I haven't seen Clipper Kings (I don't think), but I'll check it out.

Although the stock Anduril sword is pretty impressive, personally, I found it a little on the small side.
Anduril was very very massive in the movie. Actually too big even.

If you stop at the 18 second mark, although its not touching the ground...the sword is almost up to his chin

I found out that one of the best LOTR official sword, made by United Cutlery, also made a letter opener.
I have to say, it is very very impressive!!!

Lengthwise, It is a little on the long side. It probably could have been about .75" to an 1" shorter.
But sizewise, I think its more in scale.

Remy, that looks terrific!

I love the UC letter openers. It took me ages, but I eventually cobbled together an entire set. (Hadhafang took me effing forever to find.) The scale from sword to sword seems to vary greatly -- Sting, Strider's Elven Knife and Legolas' White Knives are much larger than you'd expect -- but they seemed to be going for shelf presence above strict scale rules.

UC actually made that sword in three different versions. They made Narsil (pre-Sauron stomp), the Shards of Narsil (with Rivendell Elven statue) and the reforged Anduril (with the printing up the blade). I think the one you've got there might be Narsil. Unless I just can't see the printing because of the shadows. (Narsil is actually the one I keep at my desk at work to open mail!)

It never even occurred to me that it might be close to the right size. Looks great there!

Yes, I am really blown away by the craftmanship of this miniature sword.
Its like UC applied the almost the same craftmanship making this letter opener, much like their lifesize swords.
It is very HEAVY for the figure!!! I tried several dynamic poses with it but the arm keeps coming down.
My poor Tyler Durden figure, he got whacked a couple of times. lol.

Yes, I have Narsil. I've been looking for Anduril but I'm not sure if they ever released that.
The only picture I could find was just the production picture.
All the in hand pictures I have found were Narsil or the shards of Narsil you mentioned with the statue.
I'm tempted to get Shards of Narsil.

The Noble Collection letter opener is 1/6 scale

I came very close to buying Noble.
But after seeing your other picture, just for me personally, the size is still kinda small
This is from your comparsion picture.

One of the main reason I couldnt pull the trigger on Noble is that I think the sword handle is not detailed enough.
It has the same dull finish as the stock sword. I tried to buff ACI's using Mother's Aluminum polish, but it didnt do anything.
Also, I really love the 3 gold triangular inserts in the handles, I think it brings a lot of elegance to the sword.
ACI I believe is just painted, and Noble isnt even painted.
UC has a separate gold insert in there...not just painted. The Sword handle is really really impressive.
I've watched a lot of videos of the lifesize sword, the miniature is very close to it.
Even the blade's edges looks like a real sword's sharpened edges.

If the size is a concern, The UC Ranger sword is very close to 1/6 scale. Its an inch smaller than Narsil.
I also have that sword, and I was actually very very torn cause I know my display is Ranger Aragorn without the gauntlets and the cloak.
So I really should display mine with the Ranger sword.
But I really love the Narsil sword, so I'm keeping that as the display.
May switch it up every once in awhile.

Here's the United Cutlery Ranger sword, ACI Anduril, and United Cutlery Glamdring

Yup. UC released Anduril. Here's a quick shot of mine.

It's pretty much identical to Narsil, except for the lettering. (Which is stamped into the metal but is actually very subtle and kind of hard to see unless you angle it into the light.) It doesn't have the mirror finish that the Noble version has. But it does have the hilt inserts you mentioned.

Sweet! It does exist! :horror
Very cool! Oh man, grats for having one. I have been looking all over for that one!
Thanks man, I'm gonna keep an eye out for one and nice to know its out there.

Yeah, I know it may seem like a minute detail, but I really love the gold inserts. I think its such a cool design...with
mostly silver finish, but with some subtle gold. As I mentioned, it really makes the sword look elegant, yet imposing.

I came very close several times to buying the Noble, I do think its also a nice sword. But I just like the look of the UC better.

I love the UC set. Really nice attention to detail. Took me ages to finally get them all.

This is the whole set of 11. But as you can see, they're not all in the same scale. Tracking these down (along with the Weta helms series) were some of the most satisfying collectibles hunting I've done. Took years to get them all, but so worth it!

Very very cool. Honestly, that is very impressive! :clap
You have the shards of narsil as well. That is beautiful. :love

I have to agree, that's what surprised me...once I got it, the attention to detail in hand really surprised me.
I got mine as a set with all three swords.
All I wanted was the narsil ( since I thought anduril didn't exist :lol ), but I figured, well it comes with the ranger sword so it'll be nice to have
The extra sword.
But once I got it, I was equally impressed with the ranger sword, as well as glamdring which even had even elven runes on the sword handle.
I had to debate which Aragorn sword to use.

I have been also looking at the shards of narsil, I love how the statue looks like its made of marble.
I think I would like to hunt one of those down if I find a good deal.
As you mentioned, the attention to detail is amazing. I used to have a couple of lifesize sword, and that's what this looks like, it really looks like
A miniature sword.
I wish mine came with the sword base. Apparently, some of them were sold in a package without the collectible base. So mine didn't come with one.
Again, grats man. :)

Big Bad Toy Store must be the last place on the planet getting this. Another week and still nothing.

Yes, I've been waiting for mine patiently, but I can tell you that the ports have been very backed up for the past couple of months and it's been causing delays with some of the figures we are waiting on.

So, did you notice that BBTS changed the estimated time for arrival tonight? Now second quarter 2015. Limited Nazgul is still First quarter, regular Nazgul is now listed as March.

Aragorn and the Ringwraith should be hitting the US any day now. I've paid my supplier, just waiting on shipping notice.
