Michael J. Fox

Bill Murray

Exactly. The first 2 I thought of who won't sign over their likeness to a 1/6 sculpture...

This. A Marty McFly done in 1/6 is my holy grail. The customs have been getting progressively better but still lack what I'm looking for.

Agreed in terms of grail, however, I do feel that the custom Marty with Spenser's sculpt is pretty damn near perfect. But I'd also love an 'official' Marty and Doc...

Actually Dragon Models Has done faces of several actors including Josh Hartnett from their short Pearl Harbor series (They have a small black Hawk Down series as well) and even of Russel Crow from their Nam series; even called it Russel. The majority are close, but there are a few that are dead on.

Crispin glover, not sure if he won't over his likeness or he's never had a role that compelled a company to make a figure out of, but he's my favorite actor and would love him in plastic form.

...and what about Russell Crowe? Surely Gladiator is crying out for a figure, but I've only ever seen customs using a (Soldier Story or BBi?) sculpt.

If you haven't seen Spenser's amazing sculpt I suggest you go check it out :panic:

If Fox was smart, he would allow Sideshow or Hot Toys to create a limited edition Marty McFly figure, with proceeds from sales to go to Parkinson's disease research. Everyone's a winner in that scenario.

I have seen in some instances where some actors will not licence out their likenesses for figures etc. Who is on this list?

Clint Eastwood
Mel Gibson
Tonikka Sisters (Star Wars)

Who else?

Mel Gibson - crazy b@stard but would love William Wallace, Martin Riggs and Mad Max
Russell Crowe - Maximus
Brandon Lee - Eric Draven
Curt Russell - Snake Plissken
Clint Eastwood - Josey Wales, Dirty Harry

Ones off the top of my head however, I am grateful not everything is made. Lord the money spent would put me in the poor house. :panic:

Great Scott!!! Are you telling us that you have a 1/6 figure of Marty McFly???...what brand, year, etc.??...please post pics!!

Just curious, but is there any idea why some actors and/or their representatives don't like the idea?

I'd understand not wanting your likeness to a cheap $10 figure, which'll end up in bargain bins, children's mouths, etc less glorious places and also make your face too familiar in a way (like most actors dislike appearing in ads). But not sure how a limited run of adult audience collectibles would harm your career. Or does it all just come down to having not enough money offered?
