BTW, here's a compare of the Pre-Futz and Post-Futz PIETT:

He's pretty close out of the box, but a little "futzing" doesn't hurt.

That looks effing fantastic Wor-Gar! :rock This is the first pick that might actually make me use the cloth hat. I still stand behind the plastic one for Praji though. Really nice man, did you use The Myatt Water-Treatment®?

:)

Looks really natural. Especially the collar and the way the chest past lays.

Yeah...one thing I've noticed with the Pro is...sometimes the shoulder joints are twisted backwards and need adjusting...both of these were wrong and once fixed (along with the water treatment) it helped the front lay flat and smooth.

Good lord, did Myatt copyright that? :lol

I used my new version of water-treatment -- a spray bottle applied to the areas I want to work with or to areas where I want the fabric to stiffen enough to hold the creases. I used to soak the figures clothing but it's easier and faster to just spray. It's not so much the water as the shaping of the clothing once it's wet that makes the 'futz' difference.

:lol No trademark I just want to give credit to Dave (cause it's awesome). Well sheet, I have to try that spray bottle technique since...well I have a spray bottle! Thanks for the tips and know I know...

Try to use a bottle that 'mists' as opposed to sprays. Not like a large spray bottle. More like a smaller bottle, the kind your girlfriend would use to mist her plants or her face. You just keep spraying until it's wet enough. But this way you can control how wet it gets.

Ah, I see but WTF!?!? :lol I don't it's late and that read funny to me.

I found this piece of fanart that captures the essence of Piett's likeness well. It might serve as a good basis for comparison if anyone wants to see how the sculpt varies.

I put a screencap after it for reference.

It's great having another Imperial in the house.... :)

I love this figure. Admittedly, I don't get as much "fun" out of him as other characters because he's just a military leader that stands around and talks on screen, but I enjoy his character and I think it's a really sharp looking figure. He's a figure good for representing the character if you like him and adding some class to a Star Wars display. Kinda interesting that the classiest looking costumes in Star Wars are the villains.
