I hope Hot Toys will make Agatha and Rio. People on reddit think it's unlikely..

I’m just not really sure why this needs to exist. Sure Agatha was a decent character on WandaVision, but that didn’t really justify her needing a spinoff. At most I would maybe say a one off special like Werewolf by Night.

It feels like this show was green lit because Disney was looking for any content to churn out regardless of demand or quality.

I'm gonna root for Agatha getting her powers back just so they can have some story about "needing the Scarlet Witch" and bringing Wanda back from the dead down the road, because why not.

Another coven of witches from Disney. I know where this is going.

The silence is so loud.
lol yes. None of us cares. A small percentage of marvel fans care but a lot of people could care less. It’s a show about a z list character that spawned from some stupid song that was popular for like 2 days. Wow. Great job marvel. How’s that blade movie doing? Where’s ghost rider?
I’ll buy a hot toys Aubrey plaza though

It could turn out good but I know I’m not going to be watching I’ll just read reactions online

An Aubrey Plaza HT figure would prob be the only good thing to come from this show. Zero interest in it same as Acolyte. Hopefully this board gets filled with memes but I suspect not enough members will put themselves through the torture of watching it.

If I got a 1/6 Hot Toys figure of Aubrey Plaza as a Marvel character I would choose her as Amahl Farouk/The Shadow King from the criminally underrated Legion over her role in Wandavision.

Lol well as one of the few people who was actually kinda interested in this show, I thought the first two eps were.... decent. It's no embarrassing trainwreck like Acolyte or Secret Invasion, but it does move a bit slow and it's not grabbing me nearly as much as Wandavision did.

Best part by far was Aubrey Plaza's character, who you can tell is having a blast getting to finally play an evil witch, but unfortunately she seems like more of a recurring character we won't be seeing much of. And so far the other witch characters aren't nearly as interesting.

But I'll be sticking with it for a while. As it's harmless enough and has the potential to get better as it goes.

I just watched the available episodes and agree. Enjoyable enough. I really liked the first episode starting as a Norwegian style crime show. Hahn does have charm and charisma. Way better than secret invasion or ms. Marvel were at this point. If folks can go in with an open mind they may enjoy it. But still a ways to go so we will see.

Sorry others aren't finding this worth talking about but I think the season just gets better as it moves forward. Unless they fumble things at the goal line I think this will be one of the better marvel shows. They are obviously laying the groundwork for other stuff but in a way that feels organic and fulfilling.

The show is great so far!

I've decided to watch most of the Disney stuff once it's fully released and I can watch all the episodes at once. Weekly watching didn't work as well with the last things I viewed that way. Glad to hear that it'll be worth my while!

Well I hope I'm not setting expectations too high! Keep in mind that I'm putting this in context of so many Marvel shows that are borderline unwatchable or are narratively disjointed and feel cobbled together. In comparison, I think the Penguin is way, way better than this.

And to put on my critic's hat, I can easily see how this could be polarizing, because they take big swings. Whether you like or hate it may depend on your response to this (including some hammy, over the top acting, and over the top set pieces). But if you can embrace those things in the spirit of the story you might enjoy it. Ultimately I feel the story has charm and stakes to it that I didn't feel from a lot of other Marvel stuff.

The fact that this far into the season you still don't know the true nature of these characters and what they really want is another thing that appeals to me. I hope they maintain that ambiguity throughout the end of the show.

Whoa, karamazov is going on record as saying that Agatha is the single best comic adaptation since Road to Perdition? Geez, maybe we all should check it out then...
