Hey bro,

Yeah with a baby in the house now it's so hard to keep up with anythng. I still have so much AOS to catch up on too. Ghost Rider has my attention. Hopefully they can do the character justice.

It could send the show down a SUPERNATURAL path which could be a great break from normal Shield/Inhuman stuff

Congrats, bro! :duff

Yeah I hope AoS does ol' GR justice, I guess we'll see when the season begins.

From SDCC just to stay on topic! (I think there may be enough room for me to fit inbetween the ladies there)

and I am the proud owner of a son :lol

Let the haters hate. :nana:

:lol

I don't even hate the show, I just feel like it's become unnecessary at this point. I'd much rather they cancelled the series and just did miniseries events so the show runners would have more opportunities to tie into the films. That last season in no way felt like the show existed in the same universe as the films.

Congratulations. A word of advice if this is your first: Don't even think about making another baby until this one is potty trained and out of the terrible twos.

I wish they did that with a lot of shows but especially comic book based shows. Having said that; I'm glad that the show exists when nearly 70% of television is reality TV which I loathe.

I really hope this doesn't eliminate the possibility of a Johnny Blaze/Danny Ketch Ghost Rider movie or Netflix series. I prefer to see GR on bikes, and you could expand on the mythos, world building and supernatural characters much more with a focused series. Not to mention they Netflix could eventually roll it into the Defenders. Seems like they are trying to inject GR to help prop up AoS, although I thought Inhumans was supposed to do that. And even if they are thinking it could be a launching pad for a standalone ABC series, it will be sanitized vs. what they could do on Netflix. I don't read the comics, so I don't know if Reyes is a replacement or if he shares the mantle. What is the current status of Blaze and Ketch? I suppose it's possible there could be a Netflix version and an ABC version but still all sharing the connected universe. I don't know that much about Ketch either. I think it would be cool to have a Netflix series that started off with Blaze and then introduced Ketch at the end of S1.

Yes, but the question is: will Nicolas Cage do TV work? If not, I won't watch! [emoji14]

Cage was horribly miscast as Ghost Rider, but probably the main reason the movies got green lit.

AOS is a bad place to put a character like GR in. They won't give him the attention he deserves, like the Absorbing Man, and wont portray him in the right kind of light that Netflix would certainly do. His appearance in the MCU should have been on DD or something else.

This is definitely an odd choice and placement for GR to be introduced into the MCU through AOS. Doesn't make much sense. He's a demon and can only be done right through a movie or a series on Netflix. He is much darker, almost horror genre. One reason why the movies didn't work so well. Needed to be an "R" rating like Blade. What Marvel should've done was briefly introduce him in Dr. Strange as either a glimpse into other dimensions or as an end credits teaser. Then give him his own movie or Netflix series where it can be dark and edgy. Plus it would help to tie in the Netflix shows to the movie universe to make them more cohesive. He won't work well on ABC, a family network. I know nothing about the current GR (Blaze or even Ketch), so maybe he'll fit in with AOS, but I'm sure most fans want the real original look GR not the new wannabe..... :dunno
