Re Ghost Rider doesn't work in AoS: Yeah, neither Ketch nor Blaze would work in AoS. But this guy has little to no ties to them. He's got 15 appearances under his belt, and has nothing to do with Demons, Angels, Hell and the like. His enemies were Mr. Hyde and a local mob boss. He's a very street level character with very little supernatural dealings. Apart from his uncle being an evil spirit that posseses him, he's just a regular street vigilante that tangles with tech/science/mob level villains. I ain't happy we're seeing him show up in the MCU before Danny and/or Blaze, but he's not that far removed from AoS's tone. I mean, the last season was pretty graphic and brutal, they didn't really pull any punches.

Finally finished the season after putting it off for so long. The formula is really waining with me.

ENTIRE SEASON: [Coulson]: We need to work together, stay at a team, work as a family, we are better together.
FINALE: [Coulson]: When we get to the big baddie, I'm going to do this by myself.

I love Daisy and the "Quake" persona but her angsty behavior is getting a bit old. All of them have begun to be caricatures of themselves. May is getting more grizzled and emotionless. Fitz and Simmons are still awkwardly fumbling around even more so. Mac is even more brooding. I expected them to be a little more solid by now. Ghost Rider is an interesting move but I have a feeling that it'll disappoint like Deathlike did, where it almost go there but didn't really satisfy.

Ok you confused me, do you want GR in AOS or not. :lol

I'm digging his muscle car and jacket, reminds me of Blade's car. :lol

I... really have no problem with it. The last season of AoS was damn brutal. I'd say it was next to Daredevil as far as gore and the like go. So, in general, I'm not mad we're getting the Reyes version here. Like I said, Reyes is a very new character, so they can't "butcher" him by leaving things out or neutering him. His book wasn't that violent and he's generally a swell guy. He fits the AoS mold IMO, and I'm looking forward to seeing him every week.

What does bum me out a bit is that we're not getting a Blaze or Ketch GR series. But, if you think about it, this might just be a way for them to test the waters. I don't think that Netflix will pass on a GR show. It's obvious that the shows are doing very good, and they're setting up a darker second phase. The rumours include Blade, Moon Knight, Punisher (confirmed) and Ghost Rider, all of which I consider pretty possible. I guess we'll see...

As a sidenote, they just released a pic of his skull:

I guess they're going for this pic:

I think the skull looks great, but the grey pants ruin his look. I really hope he gets a full body suit like in the comic as the show progresses. But yeah, I'm optimistic.

Ghost Rider in jeans and sneakers... I'd laugh but it's just too damn sad.

To be fair, the Ketch GR also wore jeans:

The difference is that he had boots. The spikes came out after his transformation. Apart from him, there's also 70s Johnny (the less said about his 90s suit the better):

As we can see, this is a stuntman's suit, which just doesn't work in this day and age. The most well-known GR attire came out in the 2000s, which was Danny's look but "edgier":

What they tried to do with the new GR was take the old school 70s look and mix it with the bad-*** black, which resulted in a pretty rad costume:

As you can see, Robbie's civillian attire is spot on (black jacket, grey pants, sneakers). Where they screwed up, is that they didn't give him a GR "outfit". But, if you ask me, he's bound to get his comic get-up somewhere down the line. This promo "suit" looks baggy and pretty bad, but I reckon he'll get his jumpsuit.

All I'm sayin' is that it looks pathetic. Heck, I bet $50 it was intentional and there'll be a stupid joke like "you look silly in these, try Terminator 2 outfit" or something.

Oh, I'm not arguing, this promo does look very low-budget. I'm just saying that I believe that halfway through the season he'll get his comic get-up which, IMO, is pretty bad-***. It's got the colour of edgyness, plus the bits and pieces of the 70s suit. The only problem is the skull, which look cool as hell when drawn by Moore, but rather bad when anybody else takes a crack at it. I'm optmistic, either way.

Ghost Rider deserves better then AOS...

Hopefully Marvel won't do the same thing with Blade and Moon Knight.

Netflix it's the way to go! :)

Tried and failed

Because it is. In the comics it's not even a skull, I don't understand WTF they're doin' here...

In this instance, yes, but I'll bet we'll get the comic suit at some point.

It actually is a skull, it's not a helmet. It's just a design choice. And, condiering Robbie isn't a traditional Rider, it kinda makes sense.

“In my head I was thinking like, ‘What if Death joined Daft Punk? What if Satan became a Power Ranger? What if Speed Racer went to hell and came back a slasher villain? What would that look like?’” Moore reveals. “So yeah, Felipe and I went back and forth with sketches spitting out whatever was in our heads in attempt to unify a few major concepts for this new Ghost Rider, the primary ingredients being: Robbie, his sleek new vehicle, and a classic, recognizable Ghost Rider.
