I agree with whoever said this was the best episode so far, in fact, that girl Akela or whatever has had like 20x more heart, better acting and characterization than the whole supporting cast in all the episodes combined, except May, she's cool too, I wish Akela was part of the main supporting cast.
But this is waaaay far from any Bond movie...

Of course Casino and Skyfall are vastly superior.

I can conceive that this is arguably a tad better than Smallville, probably.... but anything else from that.... well, no.

Yeah I haven't seen it, I take that back, this is far from any Bond Movie I've seen.
Even if I despise Pierce Brosnan.

Finally got around to watching it last night and I still feel the same. I'm really enjoying the characters, but the story lines are so dull and generic. Maybe they're keeping the "big bad" a little too close to the chest, but it all feels a bit pointless right now, with just vague mentions of "someone else is behind this" and "if this got into the wrong hands…" etc. And because of this, I'm not feeling the urgency in these missions. There doesn't seem to be any potential consequence to what they've been fighting. There's no imminent danger that they are protecting the world from.
Maybe they've been a little too good at containing the situation before it ever sees the light of day. Things like X-Files and Fringe worked because you saw how the dangers crept into the everyday world and would claim victims. You saw how destructive whatever they were investigating was, and therefore you felt the need for the agents to try and prevent the next killing from happening.
I dunno. Like I said, I'm enjoying the characters but they deserve better stories.
