The show is pretty average. Could be much much better but I think it is designed to have those dumb teenage moments and horrible Disney network supporting players to "widen " it's appeal to demographic audience. In other words- homogonized crap.
People like it but deep inside they know it's not good. Apologetic tones in posts prove it, from those who say they love it

Show is still very Heroes average. The hacker chick is the only one I like. I do like Coulson better in this than his ****ty movie appearances. And does the kung fu chick have a corn cobb up her but all the time?


Oh and The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. music theme sucks.

Bear McCreary was the composer on Battlestar Galactica. There aren't many shows that had music like BSG. It would be a very short list.

I like Bear McCreary actually. I didn't know he was doing the music on this. But what can I say, I haven't noticed it so far. I didn't even realise there was a theme.

But I can't blame him entirely. I'm sure it was more the show-runners saying that the music has to be loud and patriotic and really drive home all the scenes as they play out. It's so over the top fanfare-y.

And, a-dev, I only WISH I had your ability to tune out the music!

Title sequences are often used to hold down production costs. Cheap shows always have the longest theme song. A one minute title sequence x 24 episodes is 24 cumulative minutes that didn't need to be filmed for the season. That's half an episode for most shows.

Say what you will about AoS, this is not a cheap show.
